In Singapore, the Policy Owners’ Protection Scheme (PPF Scheme) exists to protect policy owners in the unlikely event that a life or general insurer fails. The PPF Scheme provides protection for the guaranteed benefits on your life insurance policies, as well as coverage for certain types of general insurance, subject to caps where applicable. The caps on the compensation is calculated per life assured per insurer. As Aviva Singapore and Singlife will be combining into one company when the transaction is complete, this cap is important to note if you have policies with both insurers."

Heng ah bo policies with Aviva, no need worry about cap.

PPF scheme covers insurance savings portion in singlife? Aka the 10k capital put in

Also can just an example
This policy is protected under the Policy Owners’ Protection Scheme administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC). Coverage for your policy is automatic and no further action is required from you. For more information on the types of benefits that are covered under the scheme, as well as the limits of coverage, where applicable, please contact us or visit the Life Insurance Association or Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation Limited (SDIC).

We are pleased to share that Aviva plc has announced a planned transaction to combine Aviva Singapore and Singapore Life Pte Ltd (“Singlife”).

I suspect the deposits we contributed helped fund this takeover. Maybe it was their strategy all along.

Hopefully, now that they seem to have accomplished their goal, nothing negative will happen. *touch wood*

ask singlife for explanation.

No need. I will hold on my investment into Singlife until the dust settles down.

In a Covid-19 pandemic n new chaotic world now.... ANYTHING can happen. Especially when they say everything is fine n no change. 🙃🤪🙏😳🤞✌️✌️

The various earlier posts already answer my question.

Could be due to age, income situation, working or not OR Singlife is super busy at the moment with the buy over of Aviva.

Anyway my friend walk away after waiting for a week n m invested elsewhere. 😤😐😝

I have the impression that PPF only covers the insurance part. Not the deposit part

But for Singlife, your Sum Assured is dependent on your deposit, so how do you separate that? Which is insurance? Which is deposit?
