I just withdrawed 5k from singlife and the money got xfer-ed into my bank in less than 5 mins.

I think the Singlife account is not optimized for frequent deposits and withdrawals in addition more people are using the account as their daily driver account hence the perceived reliability issue.

Are you saying $ placed in Singlife can be unimportant and lost?

So Singlife is only good to place "unimportant" $?

If the deposit is delayed till the next day then show up in the Singlife account, would this be considered as loss of 1 day's interest? Ie withdraw from DBS on 8 Nov then deposit into singlife on 9 Nov? Thanks

Why people still think it's a bank account? It's an endowment plan with simply no lock in.

If you treat it like ATM in and out, sure for problems, because it wasn't designed to be used this way

Few days ago my case I also called up DBS and DBS confirmed the $ was already out. And the sum only reflected after midnight. So I believe 1 days interest was lost. But I'm more than glad the sum didn't go missing la

I guess the latest sms scare put ppl antsy. Suddenly a message out of no where says your deposit has fallen below $100.

Anyway after this episode I'll cut down my exposure to Singlife. Like what others shared, just keep the amt I think I can do away with here lor.
