i disagree with some remarked that why r we fussing ov a 0.5% point drop only? (for me i predict that it will drop again in a few mths time, hence move now)

see how he surveyed his followers and how he view it : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGLr4SeQSIM
his decision to shift to some of the options are exactly wht i m thinking too!!!

if you can get someplace >1.5%, you should definitely move now.
otherwise move when it really drop again in a few months time. what do you have to gain for moving it somewhere that is <1.5% now?

Is that your channel hence you asking us to watch through 12 minutes of it just to find out when you can easily post it here?

How and where you want to park you money is your choice. But good luck to you if you expect investing in money market funds like syfe cash+ is the same as putting money in a single premium endowment policy like singlife

Cashed out my entire Singlife account today, in anticipation of a possible bank run high withdrawal volume on Friday that may result in the funds being tied up for days, due to not having sufficient liquidity.

But looks like some people are already running withdrawing? Been 15mins 30mins 50 mins and still no funds in my bank. Usually withdrawal is much faster than this. Oh well.

I think you are better off in investing it instead. MBH offers 2% yield to maturity. Rates may increase and you may have some MTM losses in short term, but over 1yr I think you will do better than Syfe cash+.

I personally prefer a proper broker and asset allocation myself instead of the Robos now. I am getting out of all of them.

If they want to run, they wouldn’t have made the announcement in advanced

Eh sorry. Wrong term. Possible bank run high volume of withdrawals that causes them short term liquidity problems. I don't think they will collapse or default, but they might not have the liquidity to pay out fast because of too many people withdrawing.

where else got something similar to Singlife with higher interest rate that people will move to?

Mmm for me personally, 1.5% interest rate for a virtually risk free and highly liquid investment is too low. I already have Dash Easyearn and Gigantiq to hold my 6 mths emergency funds plus funds for expected near term high value purchases, at 1.8% interest anyway, so I upgraded my risk profile on my $10k in SingLife. Move to riskier but higher returns investments.

Those who insist on having the same risk profile, and also have already maxed out Gigantiq and Dash Easyearn, will not withdraw.

You'll be surprised how many fit this description yet withdraw due to emotional reasons

You mean like fundamentally disagree with the decrease so withdraw it yet cannot find something similar in terms of features and pays better?

Then... it's their own loss haha. They shoot themselves in their own foot only. Singlife won't give a f*ck, because they more then made up for it with the decreased interest rate they pay their entire customer base.

*EDIT*: And if they are so emotional, they better not invest in high risk. Ironically, products like SingLife would be the best for them.
