Actually I don't understand what u saying, do u mean the interest credited is correct because of the statement cycle? Then I wonder where is my October 2022's card spend interest when I started spending $500 that month. No interest was credited on 1st Nov. I spent $500 again in Nov, $4.09 interest credited on 1st December, spent $500 again in December and withdrew fund on 31st December night, $4.09 credited on 1st January. No spending at all in January, $0.7 interest credited on 1st February.
U better check with Singlife on the exclusion criteria loh. Not all expenditure can qualify for it. And yes, the interest earned is based on statement cycle which differs for everyone, not calendar month. Like mine is mid to mid month.

Their reply so far to me is not because of exclusions or din meet min spend, but the low interest I got was due to low balance in my account in January after I withdrew out the 10k. Very puzzling if this is the reason because I did not use the card at all in January.

1. Singlife interest credit date is not based on calendar month (1st day of claendar month to last day of calendar month) but policy date (date in which you first open your account). For example, you first create your account on 27 Jul 2022, your int period will be from 27 Jul to 26 Aug and your int will be in your account on 27 Aug 2022.

2. The $500 spend is based on your policy month - so must spend $500 between 27 Jul to 26 Aug. If you do this the additional $500 debit card spend will earn bonus interest from 27 Aug to 26 Sep and your bonus int will be credited on 27 Sep 2022

So do u mean if I spend $500 between 27 Jul to 26 Aug, the card spend interest will be based on my account balance between 27 Aug to 26 Sep?

yes .... the extra 0.5% interest will be awarded to the account balance for the following policy month. when I was with them previously, it was always this month spend $500 & qualify, next policy month balance get awarded the extra 0.5%. You read up their FAQ (not sure if they have changed the TnCs), think they have a diagram to illustrate. Since the other financial institutions up their rates in 2022, I have not participated in Singife Spend & earn.

Thanks for the explanation. Looks like I am the one who doesn't know the product well, keep thinking it works like a bank with the card spend bonus interest awarded based on what u spend on the month itself.

I would like to withdraw my singlife sure invest portfolio but the amount is less than 1000. Since I dont want the portfolio/coverage anymore, can I simply terminate and get back all my money? Or I need to top up first to have min 1000?

For termination should be able to get back all your money regardless of amount.

Just a sidenote. Their mobile app function erratically. Sometimes they auto log me out. Then the waiting can be quite long at times to go to some screen. This make me concerned if I put in big sum urgent need withdraw how?

I left with a few ks inside as I also realised the instability of SL system. Not advisable to put too much inside
