SingPost/Vpost Bad Experience

Please add to this poll if u have encountered a bad experience with Vpost deliveries...

Recently i bought stuff from taobao and used VPost as the forwarder. But turned out to be terrifying. Look at the pictures below.

Vpost did not handle parcel with care. My parcel was crushed and worst, soaked with oil.

I sent this email to Speedpost 15 October 2014 but to date no reply.

I am very upset that your courier left a note yesterday claiming that he could not deliver the above parcel when:
1. My housekeeper was at the front garden at the claimed time.
2. My camera caught him putting the note in without waiting.
3. A Neighbour was the eye witness too.
4. This is the umpteenth time this has happened so I will be collecting evidence to show to your CEO, the press, etc.
5. I would rather pay more to other more reliable services.
6. You expect me to park at the Thomson CC when there are none available or very tight parking. And you expect to to come during my working hours?
You expect me to carry heavy parcels at my age? (71 years old) With my disabilities? I pay for your service but yet I have to collect the items myself through no fault of my own. Why should I be penalized for the laziness and unreliable service of your courier?
What if I did not have private transport? No one else at home can drive.
7. In one case the courier did not even go up to the unit at all. The owner was at home with the main door open the whole day. Because she was expecting a parcel. But when the parcel did not come, she called up and was informed that nobody was at home. Moreover no note or advice was put at the doorstep.
After making a lot of noise they confirmed the delivery TWO DAYS LATER. However no one knows who they delivered to!
8. In fact if you go to HARDWARE ZONE FORUM you can see the comments of many angry customers, yet to date your service has not improved. Your SPEEDPOST name is a misnomer.

Could it be other postal services who are responsible for this?

Earlier today, something caught my eye on Qoo10 so I proceeded to order. However, there were only 2 options for delivery - Singpost Normal or Registered. Sorry, but no prizes for guessing whether I continued to order.
Message to online vendors: you will lose a lot of revenue if you continue to use Singpost! Those who have experienced or heard of Singpost's f***ked up service will not buy!!

It depends on the postman in your area?
Registered mail should be ok.

Non standard size mail, rejected. VShop4U & GshipExpress SHOP4ME

I've uncounter some issue while mailing out.

They don't except my package as they mention that its not standard size mail.

I can't do normal mail or registered mail.

End up i when for courier TA Q BIN to send my package.

They told me its because of the 1st Oct 2014 changes.


Have anyone here got this issue too?

Same thing bro - mine was worse they changed the vPOST USA address without telling me, so my Amazon orders were sent to the old address on file with Amazon.

vPost had the cheek to tell me on Facebook Chat "Its been years that the vPost address has been changed. Just inform your merchant to retrieve your item and deliver it to the right address."

Amazon cannot do it unless vPost contacts them, so I told vPost what Amazon said.

vPost refused to do so and regurgitated

"We regret to inform you that we cannot proceed with your request. You have to contact your merchant in this case to retrieve the item. They could liaise with the courier that delivered the item ."

Amazon wants them (the forwarder company) to state that the inovice address is not correct, then Amazon will send its courier to retrieve my items.

They can always not reply to your email.

SPEEDPOST Service SUCKS!!!

I am very frustrated with the service provided by SPEEDPOST!!! We have shipped our package from US last November 17 as PRIORITY MAIL (6-10 days) and it arrives in Singapore last Dec 1 only. From then, i keep chasing SPEEDPOST on the delivery of my item and everyday i'm getting the same response that they already placed my request and will receive the package the soonest. Now is already Dec 5 and according to their website it's still in the SORTING FACILITY. And according to the guy i spoke just now, my package is only under STANDARD delivery!!! I've been shipping every month and have my ups and downs w/ them but this is the WORST and UNACCEPTABLE!!! Pls help where can i lodge a formal complain to this company. Thanks.

Me worst, my US merchant shipped item to vpost US and vpost claimed they received nothing even tracking show it has reach their post.

HOw do I deal with it?

Let me add my experience..

Ordered 3 items from taobao and they were sent out via 4px on dec 5. Sadly they partner with Speedpost. Speedpost tracking shows item received at their overseas processing facility on dec 5. Now is dec 15 but still no further statua update.

Called their helpline and a certain Ashok picked up. I asked where is the parcel..he replied that they will not update the status until it arrives in Sg. So i ask him to confirm that the item IS with speedpost and on its way. Immediately he changed his answer and said that the item is still with local partner but not speedpost. So i asked him why does speedpost have a received status in the tracker when they have not received the item, he said they only registered the status for their partner but not actually received the item!

What a load of bs!

Bad experience here.

1. Get quotation for VShop4U items for Xmas Gifts.
2. Left a comment to ask if I will receive them before Xmas.
3. VPost reply: if payment is made before 12 Dec then Yes. I will receive them before Xmas.
4. Made 2 separate payments before 12 Dec.
5. 13 Dec: asked if my parcel is affected by US packages misroute.
6. VPost: Your parcels are not affected.
7. 24 Dec: Are my parcels coming before Xmas since there was a commitment for Xmas?
8. Vpost: One of your parcel is already in Singapore. (Thanks for not answering my question fully)
9. 26th Dec: Am I supposed to receive my parcels before Xmas??
10. VPost: Hi, the Xmas Delivery is only for VPOST Services and not VShop4U.

WTF: What a Terrible Failure.

Can someone share with us if there's a concierge service other than vShop4U?

Sometimes need to wack stuff from newegg and they do not accept Non-US credit cards. :(

I would recommend comGateway US. I haven't used their concierge service but I've been shipping my US orders with no problems.

+1 for comgateway! All my US purchases will go to my comgateway address and so far not a single problem (touch wood).

Also DHL tracking is superb and their estimated arrival date is a godsend. You can even call in to the CS to schedule the delivery timing before it arrives. I've just shipped in 6 levis jeans for USD$32 using DHL express. Not a bad deal at all considering the service they render.

I used Vpost years ago and was jaded with missing parcels, delayed shipping and bs from their CSOs. Singpost is only interested to make money here and there instead of focusing being a trusted national postal service. So much for their core values stated on their website. BS at it's finest..
