Singtel 3G speed

Anyone else getting this kind of nonsense speed from Singtel 3G network? 0.24Mbps down, 0.07Mbps up. I don't think this even qualifies as mobile broadband.

In comparison, on M1 network, I can get this, which is more reasonable :

Me! These few days I only get these rubbish speed.

Sometimes it's ok but most of the time it's like what you getting

I've noticed the reception for 3G and LTE around my area isn't really that good where I live. I get 2-3 bars and the speed is really below par, but still can see the distinction between 3G and LTE. I'm on Singtel too but prepaid.

For I'm I'm getting 3+M down and less than 1M up for 3G (or 3.5); 10+M down and 20+M up for LTE. Ping are around 30+ms mark.

Do agree their 3G used to be 10+/3+... maybe they also throttle their mobile during world cup lol...

In some areas I suppose. From where I'm living, the speed is no way near advertised. Or maybe that's because I'm on prepaid, but I doubt they'd throttle. Reception only so-so though.

i used to be able to watch shows on my iphone in camp using all 12gb

nowadays i can't. the speed is just terrible.

Its absurd to assume such rumours.. SingTel offers up to 42mbps instead of the usual 21mbps. Ongoing projects for 3G upgrade is still in progress and upgrading is based on user feedback.

I strongly encourage users to use MySingTel app to report network instability so as to allow the network team to investigate..

Do monitor thread for some useful tips and network performance across the island..

But of cuz, speed test is nothing more than a generic number boggling our minds. What we truly need is consistent and robust network.

Yup... 6 tests eat about 700+ mb... haha... and the results are not very representative of real world usage.
