1. BTW, using the same pattern we can find the other offer for 10Gbps, but it is not good. 5Gbps recontract offer at S$29.90 per month is still the best recontract offer from Singtel.

https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/broadband/eform/recon-edm/5gbps-plan
5Gbps Enhanced Plan at $29.90/mth (U.P. $95.90/mth)
Comes with 1 x Singtel AX5400 WiFi 6 device

https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/broadband/eform/recon-edm/10gbps-plan NOT GOOD
10Gbps (WiFi 7) Mesh Plan at $65/mth (U.P. $139/mth)
Comes with 1 x Singtel TP-Link WiFi 7 BE11000 Router

https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/broadband/eform/recon-edm/3gbps-plan
No such link as of now.

2. Previous pattern.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/broadband/eform/recon-dm/fibre-10g (still alive)
10Gbps Mesh Plan at $59/mth (U.P. $139/mth)
Comes with 2 units of Singtel WiFi 7 (TP-Link BE11000) Routers

5Gbps Enhanced Plan at $46.90/mth (U.P. $95.90/mth)
Comes with 1 unit of Singtel AX5400 WiFi 6 Mesh device

https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/broadband/eform/recon-dm/fibre-5g
404 now. Previous working link for 5Gbps S$29.90 recontract offer.

https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/broadband/eform/recon-dm/fibre-3g
404 now.

I finally got the 5gbps at 29.90 offer but wifi 6! It seems like the CSO hint me previously after your 21 mths contract the last 3 months they will give you different offer each month. Just wait for it.

Great this Singtel 5Gbps recontract offer at S$29.90 per month comes back. Thanks for the update.
Hi is this the best option for recon if i am on the old ONT and using asus ax6000? Also should be able to retain the free 500mb mobile boardband number like perviously irrc? Thanks!

Anyone has any idea if its worth it to sign up for the red membership tgt with the recon?

If you want to stay with Singtel, this is the best recontract offer from Singtel.

If you want to keep using ONT, then you can forget about Singtel and you need to go with other ISPs. Singtel only provides ONR now, no more recontract of ONT based plan (ONT is only for legacy 500Mbps/1Gbps plan users)

Yes you will retain your 500MB mobile broadband number (but I think it is kind of useless now to most of the users).

BTW, not so sure which AX6000 Asus router you have. ROG GT-AX6000? TUF-AX6000? RT-AX88U? Are you using some more advanced FW function of your Asus router? Depending on the feature you are using, it may or may not work with Singtel ONR.

Thanks for the great info!

means if i recon, they would come down to change the ONT into the new ONR? N i can still use the ax-6000 without using the ax5400 they would be giving?

yea, it just serve as an additional no :D

its GT AX 6000 eva edition, seems like i am not really using any advanced FW function.

Yes, they will change your ONT to a new XGS-PON ONR (either ZTE F8648P or Nokia XS-240X-A).

Asus ROG GT-AX6000 is a good router (one of the best dual band WiFi 6 routers). You can keep using it and put aside the Singtel AX5400 (lousy one) as a reserve.

1) Singtel 2Gbps uses GPON ONR. Singtel 3Gbps/5Gbps/10Gbps plan use XGS-PON ONR. Singtel does offer S$10 per month VAS for XGS-PON ONR bridging ONR as of now (March 2025).

All WC plans will use ONR as well.

2) By right Singtel will issue you an ONT if you are currently using ONT. But please confirm with Singtel. Take note Singtel no longer offers recontract for ONT based legacy plans. So if you do not like ONR, prepare to leave Singtel for other ISPs.

WC users with bridged GPON ONR will still have the GPON ONR bridged if upgrading from legacy plan to 2.5Gbps plan as per the report. WC 10Gbps plan uses XGS-PON ONR.
Thanks for the help! Because i still have 1Gbps and Mio Tv and i am planning to add in another telco for 10Gbps any advice will the new telco check my opennet fiber DB or box in the house to see if it is compatible?

Yes, when you sign up a new Fibre Internet service, the new ISP will ask NLT to check whether you have the second Fibre Terminal Port open for use and whether the signal level is okay or not.

They may or may not need to enter your flat though -- in my case for my Singtel 5Gbps recontract, NLT people needed to enter my flat to check, as Singtel used the second Fibre Terminal port. Some other users reported that NLT people did not need to enter the flat to check.

Yes. It should still work. NLT will check before your installation of the new service.

My Fibre Points were installed back in 2011 (year 1998 4-room HDB flat). My first Fibre Internet service was with Singtel Fibre Entertainment bundle (100 Mbps Fibre internet service plus Singtel Mio TV Family Starter Pack) in Feb 2012 (I was using Starhub Cable Online before that).

Fast forward in August 2024, I upgraded from Singtel 1Gbps service to Singtel 5Gbps. The Singtel installer actually reused the same Fibre cable from the first 2012 installation. He just unpluged the existing Fibre cable from FTP Port 1 and plugged it to FTP Port 2.

I forgot to ask him for the new Fibre cable which was supposed to come with the ONR (as a backup). But anyway it is not a real problem since I have another Fibre cable.

Cannot choose between the two types of XGS-PON ONR. In most cases, the two should be the same for the user.

Some users may like the Nokia XS-240X-A a bit better as it is smaller in terms of size and weight. ZTE F8648P is for vertical placement and it is quite tall/big.

Just an update after messing around with the Nokia XS-240X-A for a new flat in Punggol.

After logging in via the support page, I thought I had to go through the process of selecting the bridged port in the Network. When the TP-Link HB810 failed to get an IP address, I noticed that modifying the WAN port allowed you to select a "Bridge Mode" instead of "Routing Mode". That allowed me to select Port 1, which was the 10Gbps port. I ticked the VLAN option (set to VLAN 10) and just like that, the HB810 got a WAN address.

(Additional note: All the ports must be in "Routing Mode" before attempting the WAN modification. If one of the ports is already bridged when trying to modify the WAN port, it will show up as greyed out.)

On the HB810, I did have to indicate that it did not have to select VLAN 10 on the WAN port. Once I did that, the WAN instantly connected.

One observation is that while it did issue the router an IPV6 address, it was a /64 address instead of /56. I did some of those online test to check if IPV6 was working, and unfortunately, it reported that it wasn't seeing IPV6 connectivity.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take screenshots. I'll try to do it the next time I'm at the new place.

My contract have ended like 2 years. A few times Singtel sale rep was doing door to door offers after the chat I see their plan and my current plans doesn't suit the prices now I see everyone is going minimum 2.5 Gbps and 802.11 ax aka wifi 6. Now I am in the decision should i wait abit more until the price go down. The sale people offer me 5 Gbps price but i look at their offer price and what i am paying i better go for 10 Gbps and i will pay bit lesser but higher speed. During that time I ask the rep do you still offer the Nokia ONR. Rep replied depend on the stock. So now I am thinking should i just go with VQ or Simba because by end of the year or early next year I already have my own homelab and networking things done. Any advice or feedback i will take.

It is okay to leave SingTel if you want to set up a home lab.

SIMBA 10Gbps: I do not think it is worth considering because of CGNAT and not-so-good support.

VQ 10Gbps: worth considering, you may want to pay for the Static IPv4 add-on to work around the limitations of CGNAT.

Usually I will recommend M1 6Gbps plan at S$34.90 per month (free Archer BE805) or Starhub 5Gbps plan at S$29.55 per month (free HB710) more because the value. But VQ 10Gbps plan is a fine choice for power users.
