Yeahh the speed got reduced when 5G rolled out in my estate. Because more bandwidth got allocated to 5G.

Throttling 4G to push people to more expensive 5G plan seem unethical. Too bad no lawsuit to punish such practices.

Or maybe consumer shouldn’t reward such unethical behavior. Switching over means they won and more people should just stick to 4G.

Not sure if they did the above, but here's what I observe in my area, Jurong West, near NTU side.

During 4G+, I get about 100/40 at best, usually 80+/10+.

When 5G was turned on, I am getting 140+/30 average.
Best spot in my house is the kitchen when it shows 200/50 at best.

It was a total disappointment @ JP when it clocked only 50+/10- most of the time...

I'm on sim-only and the free trial of 3 months was offered recently as I am using one of their supported 5G phones. Will cancel this trial at the end of it.

Yup, it was a Sat when I tested it.
Will do it again on a weekday to see if there's any diff.

Hey do you know what speeds are like within NTU itself?

I'm willing to pay $$ for some testing of the internet speed! Or if we can rent the sim card for awhile 1h-2h. It will be a big help for a school project I'm doing!
