Hello,
Making this thread to complain about the Hi! prepaid plan from Singtel.
I recently arrived in Singapore and took the 15$ value (Hi! plan) prepaid card. Ok. Everything was working great until I almost ran out of data yesterday night. (19Mb left)
At that time, I looked at my balance : 14$ left. I thought I will top up and pay for more data later.
I decided to shut off the data on my phone (19MB left), got home, used my phone with wifi only and went to bed. (My phone is ALWAYS on airplane mode when I'm sleeping)
When I woke up this morning, I switched off the airplane mode, and received a text from Singtel saying that I had 2$ left on my account. What?
One hour later, I looked at my account balance and saw that I had only 0.02$ left. Seriously?
I just woke up, my phone was on airplane mode all night and if I had used it, it would have been connected to my wifi.. I just don't understand why all my money is gone when on airplane mode, doing nothing but sleeping.
Is Singtel charging randomly when you are out of data? Are they doing that because it's expensive to track whenever a customer uses data without any data plan?
I'm really upset to see that even if you pay for something, you STILL NEED to be careful to avoid such scams... It seems that you have to learn every marketing offer to have a decent way to communicate...
@Singtel, is the purpose of your job not to offer a way for you customer to communicate without any efforts.
What customers want is to pay for a plan and get what they paid for, nothing else...
I'm sorry if this thread is no suited for this forum, but I hope to raise awareness about this bad telco (cartel?) experience...
