Singtel fiber broadband installation

Hi all, had just signed up for fiber broadband with singtel. Termination point had been set up by netlink trust and am waiting for my 2nd appointment. Some questions to ask you all,do the staffs require access into the bedrooms for installation/checks? Will the set up be done solely in the living room right beside the termination point?

equipment installation by singtel will only be done near the TP by default, because the fibre optic cable is restricted to a few metres only. If you want the equipments to be installed in bedroom when the TP is outside at living room, there is a good chance that the installation guy will not facilitate, because the cable might not be long enough, cabling might have an issue etc. so for my experience, the installation guy will negotiate a plan such as to install and test out the signal etc first at TP area. then you own self go move the equipments around..

hi sorry to borrow this thread.

i'm also upgrading to singtel fibre soon. does anyone know roughly what the charges are like for Singtel's installation/routing of the ethernet cable from ONT to wireless router is? I need about 5m of trunking to be installed in my household for connecting the ONT to router.

would it be better to just engage in a 3rd party contractor as I have my own cat7 cables so will really only need trunking to be done.
