Singtel forwarding calls

Hi

I have Phone A and Phone B, both under Singtel.
Phone B goes overseas to Thailand.

If someone calls Phone A and I want to divert/forward all calls to Phone B (which is in Thailand), what are the charges involved end-to-end ?

well yes there will be air time charges involve, which im not sure how much.

Phone-A will incur local outgoing call "call-time" for during the period which Phone-B is on the line with the Caller.

Phone-B is charged as oversea roaming rates during the period on the line with the Caller.

Oversea roaming rates for call-time, please refer to Singtel website.


Note: If Phone-B do have Voice-mail active.
If you refused to answer the call and once the voice-mail is active.
As long as the caller is talking (as in leaving a voice call) this period of time is considered charged as oversea roaming rate.
There is no difference on whether you answer or not, which is still chargeable.
Hence voice-mail is not free call-time.

I was thinking maybe Phone A will not need to foot anything, apparently not the case.

I couldnt find any plans for call forwarding. Do we simply just need to configure the setting in our phone ?

Call forwarding is located in the Phone icon - menu - settings - more settings.

Configure in your phone settings.

Call forwarding uses your normal airtime charges, deductible from your voice call bundle first (if any), thereafter at prevailing rates.

Unless your phone A somehow connects to roaming network, then it'll be charged at roaming rates (not deductible from local voice call bundle).

There is a higher chance of Phone A in local network but wants to forward to Phone B, which is on a roaming network haha.

Initially i was thinking to put Phone A in SG and travel to Thai with Phone B.

I asked around and I think a possible solution is to put the 2 sims in a dual sim phone, hence both sim can be with the owner without call forwarding.
Sorry that I didnt mentioned this beforehand as I was thinking only call forwarding can solve the problem.
