FYI: if you want physical SIM, you should not sign up online which will give you eSIM.

Let's see the outcome below to see if it is possible to switch from eSIM to physical SIM or not.

as per postpaid hi chatbot

Got it, you’d like to move to a physical SIM – here’s how you can do that. If you’re on Singtel hi! (non-tourist) and currently using an eSIM: • To switch eSIM → physical SIM, please visit any Singtel hi! authorised retailer. Retail staff will help issue a new physical SIM and complete the swap. If you’re new to Singtel hi! and just want to sign up with a physical SIM: • Visit a Singtel hi! authorised retailer and sign up for a plan. They’ll give you a physical SIM on the spot. You can view the full list of authorised retailers in our retailers list https://cdn1.singteldigital.com/con...obile/hi/pdf/authorised-singtel-retailers.pdf If you tell me whether you’re on an existing eSIM or signing up fresh, I can break down what to bring and what to expect in a bit more detail.

Appears that esim holders can visit any authorised retailer to swap. No need to go to specified "service centre" phone shops like SIMBA or eight.

Interesting, I tried to access https://hi.singtel.com/ on my desktop, it shows me a blank page while the title bar shows GOMO by Singtel.

That link was posted by Singtel itself

Even your link, I clicked Buy eSIM now also blank page.

The link above should be redirect to the correct Singtel hi! postpaid website eventually.

But indeed it is a mess -- first it redirects to a page mentioned Gomo and then Singtel hi! App and then eventually to the "correct" Singtel hi! homepage.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/hi

No problem clicking the "Buy eSIM" links here with Singtel Fibre Broadband, M1 Maxx 5G mobile data and Starhub Prepaid S 5G mobile data.

You may want to check your browser.

Nice. Thanks for the updates. Hopefully the dealers will not charge for the eSIM to physical SIM swap.

From FB

I couldn't find the free 2nd and 3rd month promo on singtel website so i messaged their chat and got this response (If not ready, don't market it)

"Hello, thank you for patiently waiting apologies for the long delay as per checking with our team, seems like this promotion is not yet out but we are currently coordinating with our relevant team about this promotion and when to be release, I appreciate your kind understading"

SingTel Facebook later clarifies the chat is not correct and the promotion is valid.

Thanks for sharing. Could you also share a screenshot of the chat? - Shar

Hi Simon, thanks again for sharing the screenshot. We’d like to confirm that the promotion is currently ongoing and your 2nd and 3rd months will renew at no charge. - Lai

I confirmed Hi 5G postpaid roaming speed are currently capped in Taiwan & Hong Kong; shows 5G but speed approx 10Mbps. I think the problem is I can't register to Chunghwa Telecom in Taiwan (listed as Singtel partner) so the speed is slow. Gomo also capped for me and don't even show 5G, only 4G in Taiwan and in Italy.
iOS or Android? If android what's the APN you on? Hicard (Prepaid) or e-ideas (Postpaid)?

Yup they updated the webpage. FB message was ahead of the marketing team by about 4 hours.

can i confirm Hi! postpaid is a sub-brand of SingTel, and so in terms of speed priority would be similar to another ST subbrand - GOMO?

And they'd have priority over MNVO like Zym, Vivify, Zero1, etc?

Most likely the same as Gomo and other ST MVNOs.

Used to be heya -- lowest priority. Now maybe the same with the introduction of the 5G Postpaid plans.

with regard to the roaming voice/sms, Hi! 5G Postpaid blocked them right? Would I still be able to receive SMS OTPs ?

Also when did they introduce the free 10mins roaming voice/sms to MVNOS? I recalled a few months ago i received missed calls while overseas and I was still charged $10ish (Zero1)

Looks like Singtel updated the FAQ PDF file. Now it is more correct than the old one.

Now it is clear that grace period is 150 days from the FAQ.

Manage Account
4. Are there any features that cannot be used on the Singtel hi! plan?

hi! Plan does not support these features:
• Roaming calls/SMS services while overseas
• Outgoing local calls to 1900 numbers
• Incoming and outgoing video calling
• Incoming and outgoing MMS
• Outgoing Global SMS
• Transfer of ownership

8. What should I do if I want to terminate my hi! Plan?
Your hi! SIM and all services will be automatically terminated if you do not top up with any hi! Plan within 180
days from last top-up date.

IDD
5. Can I send out a Global SMS with the IDD Add-on?

Sorry, IDD credits cannot be used for sending Global SMS.

Roaming

1. How can I use roaming data overseas?

Do follow these steps to set up roaming:
• Ensure that you've enabled Mobile Data and Data Roaming on your device.
• Ensure that you choose our preferred roaming partner here.

Click here for the setup guide.
https://cdn1.singteldigital.com/con...vices/mobile/hi/pdf/hi-apac-roaming-setup.pdf

5. Will I be charged for additional data roaming usage charges after I have fully utilised the roaming
bundle?

Fret not, there are no additional surcharges for roaming. No excess charges, such as Pay-Per-Use charges, will
be incurred even after you have fully utilised your plan bundle. Once you have fully utilised the roaming bundle,
simply purchase another hi! Plan or Roaming Add-on to continue using data overseas.

It's slower compared to 5G but definitely usable. It felt like 4G and tbh I used to purposely set my phone to 4G back in 2025 as 5G was draining my Samsung batt too much. I would consider the Hi 5G postpaid a good choice for those who travel as the coverage is good and the 6 mths rollover data impressive, pricing is much better than Gomo also. Only thing that didn't work for me was the no incoming roaming calls which I must have.

For Roaming Zym/Vivifi/Zero1 has much better speed (5x-10x faster) than Hi 5G postpaid... My Hi 5G postpaid stuck at 10Mbps most of the time
