I am using Singtel fibre with my pfsense firewall on their Huawei ONR. My miotv connecting directly to the ONR.

Only difference. My ONR is bridged.

Yes it is much easier to use bridged ONR with SingTel TV box. ONR will take care of SingTel VLAN stuff.

Bridged ONR port for SingTel 1Gbps plan -- for SingTel Fibre Internet, no SingTel VLAN required. No SingTel TV box.

Unbridged ONR ports for Singtel 1Gbps plan -- for SingTel TV boxes only, no Internet

Anyway, I think pfsense should be able to work with Singtel TV box for SingTel ONT users as well, at least the basic functions.

Interestingly I have the same issue.

From pfSense for new user thread here.

Just wanted to drop a note to say I managed to get MioTV to work with OpnSense. No managed switch is needed.

My Setup is kinda similar to yours, but a little simpler:

On the WAN side, igb0.20 (VLAN ID 20, priority 4) is for SingTel TV VLAN. Igb0.10 (VLAN ID 10, priority 0) is for Internet.

On the LAN side, Interface for SingTel TV is with igb3.

Then I create a bridge0 which covers igb0.20 (TV WAN VLAN), igb3 (TV LAN). No other bridge required.

One Floating Firewall rules created for both TV Lan and igb0.20:
1) allow any source to reach any destination (on TV Lan and on igb0.20)

and VERY IMPORTANT, this took me a few nights to troubleshoot and find out:

2) Advanced options, CHECK "allow options"

Took me 3 late nights to figure out.....

Thanks a lot for the sharing.

I remember that pfSense does not support VLAN priority and that is the problem. Good to hear that you can get it working under OPNsense.

I have adopted the other metthod of using the VLAN capable switch before the routers -- the good thing is that I can use two seperate networks (with two public IPv4 addresses) for some of my testings.
