genuinely curious why people still pay for singtel data plan if theres way cheaper singtel mvno such as gomo vivifi etc?

Because those on these plans are on company claim basis, eg you submit your bill, the company reimburse you. Lets say the company gives you $200 mobile allowance. You pay only $88 a month only for a 1TB Pro Max

or there are those who have been around since combo 12 days, that have reached a certain point that buying\selling or trading in allows little to no cost on handset and the price difference between MVNO vs Postpaid becomes negligible.

Yes. Company gives me 20% off public rates and $75 claimable a month, so i just go for the highest end plan for a $0 1tb iPhone

A few years ago, my company provided a $50 non-taxable mobile allowance, which allowed me to easily recontract and pay a small amount to get an affordable iPhone.

However, about a year ago, this allowance was reduced to $30 and became taxable, so I now only receive $24 per month. At the same time, the base contract prices have continued to rise. So now getting an iPhone and SIM Only contract works better for me now.

That’s to qualify for prestige only which I feel now no diff from RED membership that you can buy.

I spend close to $400 a month and I only get $120 prestige vouchers every year.
