Guys,
Need your opinion & feedback, which one should I choose between GOMO | VIVIFI | ZYM

NETWORK - I am assuming will be same for all 3
MOBILE APP - Only GoMo has mobile app
VOLTE - None of them supports VOLTE

Note: I am currently on Circles Life Unlimited Plan (CIS), paying just $18 (with VOLTE)

GOMO is not a MVNO. ;) It's a subsidiary.

U meant Gomo is mvno not Mno bro lol

S21u silver
MVNO = Mobile Virtual Network Operator.

Simplistically, it means it's an entirely dfferent company set up to lease network capacity from the MNO to provide under their name. Analogously, you can think of it as renting their wifi infrastructure and equipment to provide a service using their own SSID and billing their customers directly.

The confusion happens because of GOMO (Singtel), GIGA (StarHub) and MAXX (M1) where the telcos set up subsidiary offices (departments if you will) to offer a product to compete in that same space, but are offerings from the same company and therefore not "virtual". Hence, it's actually a product by the MNO themselves. They obviously can't be a 3rd party company if they are themselves.

Hope this clarifies.

Frankly, unless you want to get off M1's infrastructure, I doubt you'll find a better plan than what you currently have with circles.life CIS.

However, if that is your intention & VOLTE & Singtel is a must, then Singtel's MVNO (& GOMO) are out for you. Your only option is Singtel's SIM Only Plan (starting at $30 a month for 60GB).

If you're happy to look at other telcos your best bet is either Starhub Giga ($18 for 50GB; this is supposedly a promo plan, but they run this promo constantly. If it is not available when you wish to sign up, just wait a few weeks, it is bound to come by again) or TPG ($10 for 100GB; coverage is still an issue for some places, & you might need to use a seperate app for calling, depending on your phone model).

Otoh, if you do not absolutely need VOLTE & would prefer Singtel's infrastructure, then I would suggest Zero1 ($17.90 for 50GB). If you are certain you will stick with them for at least a year, then Zym's 1 year contract is a better deal ($15 for 50GB + all sorts of freebies).

you have to ask urself how often you use voice call, how important is the quality of the call to you and whether you need to multi task via calling and surfing/hotspot.

You can’t go wrong with Gomo, no contract either. Look for the promo and sign up.

if you need VoLTE, then sign up Singtel Sim only later.

I'm on gomo and the carrier name literally says Singtel for me. Gomo is discount Singtel in my books.
At current rates... It's not even considered discount.

After 12 months promo, it's $18 20GB.
Meanwhile SingTel SIM Only is just a few dollars more and way more.

Diff people diff use case, even if I go out everyday I'll probably only use 10GB of data, $18/mth for 20GB is fine for me.

Paying $30/mth for 60GB doesn't make sense because I'm just gonna pay $12 more for VoLTE and wifi calling, and I barely call anyone.

Extra $12/mth works out to be $144 per year, not exactly chump change for no value exchange (for me of course, since I barely call anyone).

GOMO is a half hearted attempt by Singtel to try for the MVNO market. It's plans are utterly uncompetitive without offering any USP that might entice people to sign on or even to stay on.

The question then is why pay more? You could get vivifi for $9 & use 1GB on throttled speed. If throttled speed is not acceptable, just pay $5 or so for additional 2GB of unthrottled speed. You'll still be paying less than GOMO.

Thoes of us with good networks at home don't really like using mobile data while at home. :s13: The experience is very different.

Likewise, I typically use 6-10GB a month, though there are a few where I use more.

But I make a lot of calls, so VoLTE is a plus.
