Diff people diff use case, even if I go out everyday I'll probably only use 10GB of data, $18/mth for 20GB is fine for me.

Paying $30/mth for 60GB doesn't make sense because I'm just gonna pay $12 more for VoLTE and wifi calling, and I barely call anyone.

Extra $12/mth works out to be $144 per year, not exactly chump change for no value exchange (for me of course, since I barely call anyone).

10GB/mth, can consider VIVIFI Plus.
9GB, $9/mth.
If not enough data then pay $5.35 extra for 2GB for the month.

Still cheaper than $18/mth GOMO.

Thoes of us with good networks at home don't really like using mobile data while at home. The experience is very different.

Likewise, I typically use 6-10GB a month, though there are a few where I use more.

But I make a lot of calls, so VoLTE is a plus.

Ya, my weak 5GHz wifi faster than mobile data...

GOMO is a half hearted attempt by Singtel to try for the MVNO market. It's plans are utterly uncompetitive without offering any USP that might entice people to sign on or even to stay on.


The question then is why pay more? You could get vivifi for $9 & use 1GB on throttled speed. If throttled speed is not acceptable, just pay $5 or so for additional 2GB of unthrottled speed. You'll still be paying less than GOMO.

I am signing up for $15 50GB with MyRepublic, lets see how their network coverage is! MVNOs like GIGA/GOMO is pain for many, go read Seedly reviews - lot of people facing issues while porting, have to stay without PRIMARY number for almost a week.

It supports VoLTE as well, after this last option SINGTEL $30 5G SIM ONLY PLAN.

MyRepublic runs on M1 infrastructure. If you are worried about Giga & GOMO's porting over a few reports on Seedly, a simple search will probably find you a lot more complaints about M1 (& the MVNOs running on it) & it's infrastructure, including the famous 'full bar signal, no data' special feature

edit: oh, just realised OP is already on CL, so you should already be well acquainted with the issues. But I guess, you are ok with it to want to keep with M1's MVNO lol

Not Myrepublic issue. The problem comes from M1 itself, M1 SIM also suffer from that.

how does the absence of VoLTE affect us? For example, I can use my GPS app while driving and when a car comes in, nothing changes at all. Both app and calls can take place together.

WIthout VOLTE, phone signal will drop to 3G during voice call.
Your data speed will be capped at 3G speeds ( i.e. slow ) too.

Just set your phone signal to 3G speed instead of 4G.
You can try it for yourself to see if it's "usable" .

Hehe.. we all started from GPRS.. 3G still usable.. that's what we used before 4G LTE etc..
