Making the jump from SH to either ST or M1. Valuewise I know M1 is the best. And their claims for 4G coverage as well.

Any ST or M1 users can provide more in-depth advice to which is a better choice?

And I remember a couple of years back, consumers get $100 rebates off when they jump ship. Still applicable now? :s22:

my 2 cents:
not sure M1 has better value, at least for CIS customers
M1 only offering 10% discount while ST offers close to 25% discount
also, I'm a mio explore user so my main line can upgrade every 12 months

was an M1 user, found their coverage really bad
no signal at a lot of places
now using ST, much better coverage :D

family use all 3 before

truth is all about the same because normal usuage

think the difference is more obvious for heavy users and those who travel frequently because ease for roaming & reasonable charges becomes very important

Was with Singtel for more than 10 years. Switched to M1 during iPhone 5 launch.

Singtel is good for their handset vouchers. They offered me a $100 voucher. But I still switched.

SINGTEL:

- their online iPhone registration is impossible to me. Really frustrated.
- On 3G network when I used iPhone 4 the past two years, I didn't get signal very often. Either that or super laggy. At the exact same places, my friends always get through with M1.
- Phone customer service okay. Don't need to wait too long.
- Shop customer service okay. Nothing to shout about but also nothing to complain about lah.

M1:

- at the same 'laggy' places, now I get fast 3G/ LTE.
- phone customer service takes longer than ST to get through. Certain
- shop branches have much better customer service than others (e.g.: IMM's is way better than West Mall's)

actually I think it depends very much on the area and the phone you are using. I am a Singtel user connected using iPhone 4. I feel Singtel's connection is not as good before I change to iPhone5. Now my wife is with M1 and I am still with Singtel, so far my connection speed is faster on the average.

Just a note: I am not a supporter of Singtel nor M1.

I don't have CIS. :( hm. What about their speeds? Heard from some threads M1 throttling their 3G speeds.

Why ST suck? Care to share?
Oh. StarHub has very slow crappy customer svc. Had an issue with my SIM card and they took almost 3 weeks to get it changed for me. Not to mention their crazy slow data speeds. Couldn't even load a simple web page during peak hours.

Im a SH loyal for over 5 years and not once they sent me upgrade vouchers or whatsoever.

not too sure about their speed
my signal problem is for phone call
can't receive signal at some places so always get missed call alert
give up on M1 liao...

if no CIS then M1 would appear to offer better value
but like the rest said, it depends on where you are located most of the time
for my location, ST offers better coverage :D

I reside at Punggol and work at Tai Seng. How's the coverage like at these areas?

Very bad connection speed on my iPad. I live around Tao payoh area and EVERYTIME I try to use my 3G on my iPad to load websites. It's forever loading. I give up and use my wifi. And connection bar is always 4/5.

Does SH connection still very bad even in orchard area?

Also at Toa Payoh but my 4S 3G tethering gives me better streaming buffering than my 100mbps fibre (both M1). There is a weak spot near the interchange though, where the network always resets.
