Singtel provide ONR or ONT?

From reading the TnCs it looks like only the 10G plan comes with ONR. Can any Singtel customers confirm? Planning to go for the 1G plan and wondering if they provide ONR with that. thanks in advance!

10Gbps definitely comes with ONR. However as far as i understand, only customers who newly signed up with Singtel, across all plans will get ONR.. But its best for you to confirm with the person you signing up with, best place will be the SingTel retail store..

Can someone tell me if this is how using your own router works for Singtel fibre? This is assuming my router is not compatible with Singtel fibre and I cannot just replace the provided Sintel AC1900 router.

Termination point > ONT > Singtel router (turn off wireless) > Own router (Singtel LAN port connect to Own router LAN port).

If I receive an ONR instead of ONT, how does this change?

Onr itself is a router without WiFi feature. So if you're confused, just take onr as a router and all u need is an access point.

You can have 2 routers operating in a network but it involves profound settings, which I don't recommend you to even attempt..

AC1900 singtel WiFi router is designed for singtel network. So for this product, it automatically changes its operating mode to routing with WiFi, or just an ap. That being said, it's plug and play and can recognise if you're using an onr or ont..

I'm connecting an unmanaged switch to the ONR. Then switch to data points. Singtel AC router used as AP. Another 2 Asus routers as AP too

Yes, recontracted from adsl at $29.90. The singtel guy brought huawei ONR and AC Plus router.

The free 3g mobile sim card with the adsl plan still can use after 2 weeks of fibre installation. The singtel sales lady said my 300m fibre does not come with free mobile sim card.

I can only speculate the reason/s I got the ONT instead of ONR are randomness, venue and/or didn't take up ST Mio TV.

BTW, I have to call ST to cancel the free mobile broadband (free during ADSL but not 300m fibre broadband) when I see the monthly sub charges.

There is no dispute in the issuing of onr thus far as some users have attest to the consistency of onr being issued.. Moreover official singtel account has confirmed on hwz as well.

If you're a new subscriber and yet was given an ont instead, probably you can pm singtel to let them help u check?

That is to allow for our own router to be used directly.
(this is in the context of using a USG router, Unifi Switch and Unifi AP for the LAN)

Nope. You cannot disable the routing function of singtel ONR. Perhaps they might add this feature in the future but hmm, not now..

i switched from Starhub to Singtel and i was shocked that Singtel gave me a ONR. Which basically renders my existing ASUS router to be a useless AP.

Can I confirm there is no way to disable DHCP from ONR and use my ASUS router to manage IP/Forwarding/DDNS?

Can I confirm if anyone if there is a way to switch to ONT (I have 1GB bundle TV, Broadband, Home Phone).

Lastly I can't get DDNS to work with HG8244H ONR Router.. don't know what i'm doing wrong. Ports 80 and others that I defined are blocked (cannot see from outside). I setup DDNS with no-ip, and port forwarding to port 170 for example.

Disappointed...

Yes my CCTV vendor is facing this as well

No way to access the ports even though port mapping is enabled for port 80 and 81 which is how they setup the 2 CCTV in my home
