singtel recontract question

I recontracting online and it will only be delivered next week. Does the plan take effect immediately when you recontract? or only when u activate the new sim card? N does your data reset back to 0?

Data is pro-rated, plan starts from the day you recontract for existing line while new line sign up via online will take effect when u activate your new sim..
