If i didnt recall wrongly, you can't do that because authentication protocol is configured to using sim card only. You can't use the singtel wifi on any mobile device without having a valid combo plan..
but if i select the singtel wifi ssid on my iPad it'll prompt for username and pw. so if there's so sim card it can't be used? wasted leh...![]()
It prompted you for password and ID is because this is the shell for most wireless security protocols which coincidentally, singtel wifi is using it. This is initiated by your ipad, not the singtel wifi. I wouldnt say there is no way to log in, because i suppose the technical team would need a way to access the infrastructure via support/admin rights.
As a consumer, i also hope all my devices can hook up on singtel wifi, but sadly the rules say no.
Not just that, just for ur info sim card registered under mobile share VAS is not eligible too. Only the principal card is eligible..
thanks for your enlightenment.
do you think there's a way where we can connect it using my phone and then tether that wifi connection to my iPad?
Hahas that is impossible as well.. no mobile device is capable of functioning as a repeater thus far..
I know the Singtel Wifi for those on Combo plan don't need to log in since it's based on the SIM card in your phone.
But let's say I wanna connect my wifi-only iPad to it? Anyone knows the login and password to be used?
