SingTel's new Combo XO plan

Interesting move by Singtel, in the 2018 telco war.

It's released to compete with M1 mySIM E 70/90 directly.

- M1 mySIM E 70: 15GB data (+2GB port in for 1 year / +1GB for SAFRA/NTUC members), 100 mins talk & 100 SMS/MMS.
- SingTel Combo XO: 18GB data, 300 mins talk & 300 SMS.
Cost: $70 vs $78 excluding Caller ID

- M1 mySIM E 90: 30GB data (with same promo applies), 100 mins talk and 100 SMS/MMS.
- SingTel Combo XO: 36GB data, 300 mins talk & 300 SMS.
Cost: $90 vs $96 excluding Caller ID

Note: Combo XO 36GB has considerably lesser handset subsidy compared to mySIM E 90. The subsidy level is the same as Combo XO 18GB, which is about the same as mySIM E 70.



M1 mySIM & Singtel Combo XO plans does not provide any extra subsidies for CIS/MSS/ST Circles.

Tbh singtel has been at higher cost among all players. So even this plan out. I don't find that its enriching to take up this plan. I rather take my sim plan over this.

- mysim e 70: 100 mins/sms

With e70 If exceed data is charged by per gb at $10 or so right? If didn’t go e90 to begin with. Singtel one is $18 for 18GB. Might be a bit overkill, but works out to be more economical in the end.

Still seem buay pai la. Good to see telcos taking action to become more competitive at least.

Let’s see what TPG has to offer next.

I also don't understand where lohsenglte get the combo xo 36gb when it doesn't exist in the first place. It's just combo xo with 18gb data, 300mins and 300sms.. M1 mysim is not even on par with Singtel's combo xo..

Also, why factor in the safra and port in discount when it doesn't apply to everyone but only to specific groups of people..

Also, 1 combo xo with mobileshare might be cheaper if the data is shared among additional 1 or 2 users, depending on usage demand..

During contract can upgrade to mySIM E 90 if you need more data. Just can't downgrade back.... Maybe

Ok that part I may have made people misunderstood.
What I'm saying is Combo XO + 18GB add-on (overage) = 36GB.

Subsidy is the same as Combo XO itself.

Ya mySIM S is more expensive than MobileShare, and without the additional 500MB data.

i cannot concur the way you make comparison with hidden inference here and there. Combo XO is just 18GB and who ever exceeds pays the $18 for 18GB. Not everyone will exceed and that when you lump them together, you will mislead people.

Ya that's why I split into two. Combo XO without exceeding and Combo XO with 1X exceeding.

People that exceed 36GB can just go direct to Combo 3 + DataX or mySIM E 118, no point comparing 54GB with those already.

Anyway both plans not bad actually. Getting competitive at least. Haha. For people with multiple family members with the same telco the data share is quite useful, or it could be an incentive for people to stick with the same telco for the entire family. Haha.

I’m still waiting for mainstream telco to offer more competitive entry level offerings though, like what MyRepublic and Circles.Life is doing.
