SIT ICT Degree program don't have IGP profile. There are people with GPA > 3.9 getting rejected by SIT.

What they see is real passion, they don't want people study ICT and upon graduation, hop over to Banking and Finance Sector.

Huh why not. Bank and finance need so many it professionals and they are against it? U sure?

What they mean is upon graduation, instead of working as ICT professional, you work as a Banker in Banks.

If you work as ICT Professional in Bank environment, it is still in the ICT profession. if Bank environment as banker, then nono.

But there should be a minimal gpa even if the did not indicate how much is it, isnt it? Do yall have frens that are currently studying IT courses there and know whats the minimum gpa for their cohort which had entered the course? And does a gpa of 3 stand a chance to enter? Thanks!

There is no explicit minimum. With a GPA of 3, it is possible. Like many courses in SIT, there are students with 3.9 who get rejected and students with <3.5 getting accepted.

Like what the other guy said, something they assess is how passionate or interested you are, and how likely you are to work in the field you're studying in instead of just getting the degree and then doing something unrelated. The reason for this is because SIT was created with an "industry focus" meaning it aims to produce graduates for whom there is a demand in the industry.

There is no explicit minimum. With a GPA of 3, it is possible. Like many courses in SIT, there are students with 3.9 who get rejected and students with <3.5 getting accepted.

Like what the other guy said, something they assess is how passionate or interested you are, and how likely you are to work in the field you're studying in instead of just getting the degree and then doing something unrelated. How do they know if youre truly interested or just faking your way through interviews? Oo

Then may i ask how do they select students? Base on? Lets say my cgpa is 3. But from sem 1 to 6 theres really a significant improvement in it although cpa is still 3, will they take into account that this student have potential to do much more in SIT university?

becos its mandatory to be interviewed by them before they offer you a place

Also relevant diploma helps too because during the interview they ask industry-related questions so if ur not from the relevant diploma, there might be a slight disadvantage to you in the interview

read through that, don't be lazy. I believe the lowest I've seen is 3.2 with relevant diploma.
