Jaycee Capital is a decent firm. Not those sort of "prop" firms that require personal capital. Jaycee Capital is NOT Jaycee International LLP.

On a side note, if you are looking for a prop trading job because of a high salary, then sorry, you're looking at the wrong place. Go become a banker in an IB instead. Most of the time, in a decent prop firm, traders get a low base + performance bonuses. Traders who are confident in racking up a good p&l do not care about their base pay, because ultimately it is their performance that will bring in the big bucks for them.

I think this company is just like those advertising on newspaper selling forex courses. but they are slightly deceptive telling you that they are employing when what they want is to sell you the course.

One year course? Look at their website. Its all about the course. Nothing else. Does it even look like a corporate futures trading company to you? It looks more like an educational firm teaching forex trading.

A quick online search with the registry of companies suggests that Jaycee Capital = Jaycee International LLP

Jaycee International LLP has been struck off the list of registered companies in Singapore but it bears the same address as Jaycee Capital (Defu Lane 8 - Near Hougang area).

So owners probabably closed off the limited liability partnership and opened a private limited company instead.

You can check for yourself: http://www.acra.gov.sg/

Click the link on left column for search of registered business entities in singapore

I heard there is a briefing this thurs 9 April 2010 for this 'Trainee Dealer Program' it was advertised on the papers as well as an employment ad. From what I heard from the comments in the forum here I guess that it is a program which the trainees have to pay instead?? So isit truly a recruitment/employment program or just a cover-up for a course which students have to pay and learn? Anyone went for previous briefings wanna share more about what they found out there?

Yes it does make a difference. Partnership means two bosses, while Pte Ltd is one boss.

Shawnlee is talking about SixCapital.

Hi all,

I have attended the career briefing session yesterday. And find that the speaker talk very well. All the thing he say is so logic, systematic and reasonable. I'm considering whether to pay for the course $3.5k. Is anyone is working there or have taken the course care to share their experience?

Hope I can get some piece of advise...

if u notice executive careers @ sat's ST newspaper... The ad is there since 2009 ? u ever ask urself which company that hires every week ? pls do some research.

Everyone can be a trader, dun need to trade for banks and institutions...personal acc good enuff. if u are good they'll approach u. But as long as u havent earn ur first $ thru trading dun call urself a trader. Hence... Sixcapital ? Seriously alot of BS.

basically they are making money from collecting your course fees. they entice u to pay the fees by giving you the hope that u can secure a job with them after attending the course. did they tell u how many pple they have hired?

Hi lin.ci84,

I think you have disable your private message that's why i can't pm you.

I did read on this topic that other people are giving the same comments. However, I also read from other forums on positive comments.

So I'm very curious to know how and base on what did you come to this conclusion?

Have you attended the course yourself?

Did you hear from your friends?

Are you from the same industry?

Or you have ask the speakers personally on some question that leads to this thinking that they earn from course fees?

Sorry that I have to be very specific, because sometime I receive negative comments that doesn't come with concrete finding. Sometime it is just personal view or going with the mass.

I hope you don't find my comments offensive.

If anyone has the answer to my above questions, please give me your comments.
Thanks...

I think everyone came to ths conclusion because no reputable trading firm will ask for course fees. If they really wanted to hire u, then they would be willing to train u for free. By collecting fees, they are sending the message that they are more keen to make money from the course. This is just a general opinion.

Hi Boltstorm,

Thanks for the speedy reply. Before I went to six capital I actually have went to Cyberquote which is a full-subsidiary of POEMS.

They also provide courses to people in order to be hire. The only different between the both is that cyberquote course is regulated by MAS which give them more credibility. And this cert is recognize by all stock trading firm in singapore, so you can use the cert to join other firms not just cyberquote or poems.

I think POEMS is also doing the same thing. provide courses then hire people.

So it seems to me that it is a norms for such trading firm to do hiring in this manner, because it make business sense?

Since the people they are targeting are people who don't have the right qualification. Therefore, it is only reasonable to have this measure to protect company interest?

Can you provide some company name that don't charge course fees and do not need minimum qualification? I would like to visit them and see if I can have a chance to join them. I am seriously interested to change my career to full time trading. Your feedback so far has been very useful to me.
