Any courses to take for career switch? Is it worth topping up the balance to pay for a course and ensure employment, or should wait for more skillsfuture credit to accumulate in future to take up the course aim to take?

And I don't think you need to wait to accumulate credits, you can just go take on subsidized modular courses one by one per semester, can be at polytechnic or undergraduate level,
Poly modular courses cost around = $100-$250/course
Undergraduate courses cost around = $550+/course
Prices will be cheaper if you are 40 yrs old and above.

have you went for any of their PCPs or their talks ?

It's not as rosy as what they put it out to be. Partly because the initiative is still new and they have difficulties getting employers on board. Then they will "encourage" you to take the courses on your own first without finding a new employer. Only certain ones like childcare and nursing which there is really a shortage of manpower that you will have a higher chance

Thought of using skillsfuture credit to do a course as a backup plan in case no job for what used to study... seems not much help?

Saw a course to study BIG DATA. Is it a good thing to study for those not in IT? Study already can get a job without experience?

Safety (or WSH as well called here in SG) is one of the several field that can blend into all industries. You can work as what you are and take additional safety portfolio if you want to. Every industry would need safety dept/personnel. I'm from life science field but now working in metalworking industry as safety. See the link?

You can start small. WSH path is not an easy walk if you look at the no. of death in the workplace this year.

Then after that, post to pmet centre wait for job postings

if you say your colleagues all refuse, maybe the problem is not them, but you?

you are right. pcp courses do have problems in finding industrial partners.

but it is probably the best course to attend if you are out of job.

They pay you 3000 a month for studying with them. But after that, the company can choose whether to employ you or not.
