Skylake on Windows 7 users

May I know how has been the experience like ?
Any major glitches so far ?

I don't expect same level of performance like Windows 10 but would like to know any major issues that occurs on a daily basis that would prevent the older OS from working properly.

Dont see any reason why skylake wont work with w7.

In fact, stick onto w7 for as long as you can. The only thing nice about w10 is the task manager and multi desktop. Security should be a given for every PAID operating system.

My experiences with w10 so far is marked by automatic deletion of software, auto updating of graphic drivers, sudden restarting middle of the night while im downloading things, weird sporadic inability to copy and paste stuff.

Mainly due to the inability to stop windows update.

So unless u like to see your cpu and ram usage in a nice graph, keep to w7.

I not using skylake but Im on windows 7. 4th generation intel processors.

No problem so far, installing USB3 was too troublesome so I setup Windows on a Haswell system then bring the HDD over.

the win10 virtual desktops is not as intuitively as mac os. hope usoft will improve it as i find it bothersome to use.

One can easily disable windows 10 update. I dont know whats with the unable to disable update thingy meant.

Can use dism command to integrate the usb3 driver to the iso file before installing.

So far I think windows 7 is fine even on new and some ancient ones.

the problem with sticking with windows 7 is the fact that directx12 will only run on window 10. So yea. Some games(and probably future ones) will only uses directx12. This means getting windows 10 will actually be "future proof"
