Is fine. But do note that you will not see much impact till you hit max vram at 3.5gb and above. Only big title games may have this small issues.

Watch the video. Conclusion, no impact on current gen AAA games @ 1080p even shadow of mordor with HD textures enabled.

Thanks allhomme for the video, this sure put some prespective for me. 1 more questions, 750 watt enough for 2 970/ 4690k ( all 3 overclock) or I best bump to 850 watt.

I'm only pulling 583.3W from PSU according to Corsair link when running OOCT PSU test where it will max out your GPUs & CPU.

Your mileage may vary depending on what GPU model your going for. If it is a aftermarket gpu based on the reference design you should be good to go.

to be frank you only SLI or CF cos u wanna get more eye=candy details in gaming, which easily clocks up to 3.5gb of vram and above. When the 0.5 vram kicks in and starts throttling, the performance will certainly be worse off than compared to a single 980 card.

I used to be using 2x 970 Strix but the game is stuttering so bad at 1440 DSR.
The moment you try to go ultra with AA things will go awry, and it is even worse for SLI due to the bridge.

you should be more worrying about the cooling and heat discharge from SLi...

I am using 750W with no issue

Agree with bro Lanevomax. Make sure you have good airflow in your case as aftermarket gpus push hot air around the case instead of out of it. Most importantly your monitor have to support the increase frame rate. You'll like be in the region of 100plus and you'll see tearing if your monitor only support 60hz when playing fps games.

Never ever use vsync. its sacrilegious and waste of money on the sli.
