Now ain't the nice time to start a build lar

Ram price high, gpu price high, ssd price high, gpu stock low due to crypto mining again, new gen cpu (Ryzen) and mobo (Intel) near release date.

Is it urgent for you to build now? If not, waiting a couple of months would be better.

For newbie fellow DIY-er, you guys can look for PC Themes at Level 4 Sim Lim Square at one of the corner unit.

Download the price lists from HWZ shopping sections. Compare prices and research a bit on the parts you need to estimate build budget, also to know the price to prevent kena carrot headed as some of the shop will aim at newbie who don't know their pricing. Refer lazada too. Some stuff are cheaper there and it deliver straight to your place.

Any question, do update this thread. We will try to answer and guide you along.

I did some research and struggling on choosing G4560 or i5 7500 with 1060 3gb. Try to build pc that last for at least 3years with multitasking

I5 7500 is better for u to do those task, G4560 and u will be struggling. Next is that due to the performance u required it's best u opt for the 8th gen like i5 8400.( But the i5 7500 is still peform ok with the task u doing as well.)

None. Multitasking, go for Ryzen. Worth paying a bit more for 6 cores. Otherwise, wait i5-8400 and cheaper B360 mobo.

But if die die must be that 2, i5 for sure. As you have some slightly intensive workload where quad core would work better than dual core.

Frameless = not budget
Budget = not frameless
Budget + Frameless = less than 24 inches at 1080p 60hz (dell S2318H or HP 23es around $200 or older S2316H less than $200)

Nope. Just some people will find them not big enough or whatever. I kinda like Dell S2316H. IPS display, bright and solid colour. For a casual, all purpose monitor, it's very very excellent.
