After years of contemplating buying their phones, I bought one for my helper as a form of reward for her services. After going through the phone's software, I confirmed that I'll only get those with no proprietary operating system like Redmi's HyperOS. Stock Android is a much better Android experience for me..
So which os your maid using?

Currently it's running Xiaomi HyperOS on Android 14. Basically I find there are lots of bloatware and the user interface is lousy as compared with Nokia/HMD or Motorola or Google's user interface with stock Android experience. They love to push users with commercials, game ads and their supported apps and their app store. Apps that cannot be uninstalled easily and are used to track the user and collect personal data, so the user's data privacy is questionable. Maybe these are for apprehending mainland economic fugitives...
Very difficult to find the Android feature that one is looking for.

Pretty simple and straightforward to remove, but agree that if it's stock then much better than having to go through the hassle of removal.
All devices have tracking etc., just that Xiaomi makes it a point to cause pain to their users, even with the chance to refine when migrating to HyperOS. No intention to remove such annoyance is a minus that I agree.

Settings ease of access can be significantly improve too otherwise, would have been pretty much perfect.

I bet u didnt do research before buying even though u contemplating for so many yrs. It is a very easy process to remove those ads and doing debloating. No xiaomi user will complain abt ads except for those new joiner.

Another thing is era has changed so u need to forget abt the past and get used to the newer digital era. Forget abt nokia or stock android and welcome the new things. U will get used to it after some time. If u dont change u will have very limited choice to choose no matter is phone or other products.

Have to copy apple almost completely even right down to naming to purposely skip afew numbers.

Who knows if the numerical naming alignment for ease of comparison might play to ( XM ) favor in future.

Iphone did skip 9 to launch X, and from iOS 18 skipped all the way to iOS26 to align calendar year for marketing.

🤷🏻

I know there are workarounds that I can use but I'm just not interested to waste my valuable time doing them or you may say that I'm just too lazy or busy. I know I can remove a few of these annoyances but can I be confidently and completely sure that none of them are not being left behind?
The dedicated Android user interface or customized operating system also will have a negative impact on the system resources especially the RAM used. From my experience, the worst user experience is by Vivo's Funtouch OS, the best one by Oppo's older generation ColorOS..

Skip number and same model naming just to align with apple? Xiasuay lol. Unless their marketing strategy is for their users to be labelled iphone imposters lol
