New workplace is quite tight in terms of mobile phone use.. hence would like to get a smart watch for message/call notifications..

Any recommendations? Don't think I need cellular smart watch..

My criteria will most likely be:
1) Serve my purpose
2) Ease of use
3) Cost
4) Design

Yep, am using an android phone.. phone can be with me at all times (in pocket) and it will be reachable.. just that I can't physically use it at my work station due to camera..

I supposed if my phone is to be deposited at security/locked up, thats when I'll need a cellular watch?

yes that's wad i'm asking. if your desk not allowed to have a phone u will have a problem in terms of receiving notifications from your phone via bluetooth.

depends on your needs and budget. if you just need notifications and read your messages. most of the smartwatch like galaxy watch will suit your needs.

don't bother about wearOS now, most of the watches are still on the dated SOC which is Snapdragon 210.

Seems like Galaxy Watch is the best option.. the battery life seems good compared to other watchs too.. wearOS watches on SD210 that bad? Seen some offerings like fossil/Skagen.. their designs are sleek

if u don't mind their 2yrs SOC.. den u can buy their SD2100.

FYI, SD3100 just came out last year end.. and till now, if you look at the development, not many vendor adopt the new SOC.

and since Samsung has been actively releasing their wearables on their TizenOS.. and they also recently just launch OneUI on the smartwatch.

so i guess its a worth while watch to go.

I actually thinking of getting the Ticwatch Pro as it has the secondary LCD Screen.

If you're not into bulky smartwatches and love the watchlike design, then the Fossil Sport Blush Smart Watch FTW6022 is what I'd recommend.

It's ultra lightweight with the same GPS features, longer battery life than can last til 48 hours.
