Smartphone as camera or Mobile Internet Device (MID)

Anyone actually using a smartphone purely as a digital camera (no sim card inserted) or mobile internet device (with a broadband data sim)?

I know such use cases are weird or unusual.

there is no need to be exclusively as camera or MID. I can use both features without conflict.
