Hi folks,

just bought U28H750 at COMEX.

However I'm using ASUS CM1740 machine with EAH6450.

Noticed some occasional sync issues when using this monitor with the the above setup. So do I need to upgrade my gfx card as well? :s11:

If so, please recommend one (prefer AMD ones). I do occasional video/graphics editing, and play games occasionally (C&C, dota, CoH, not the hardcore ones). Thanks in advance. :)

Your current setup feels kind of ancient for the 4K monitor you just bought.

Not sure will it be adequate to just upgrade the GPU itself. Just my thoughts.

thanks for the reply, i believe you are referring to my winXP setup, or the CM1740?

thanks, used to be using HD4870 that i cannibalised from an older rig, but it died on me last year, so ended up using the weaker EAH6450.
Will look into RX 570/580....

You might wish to consider moving the OS and programs to an SSD. It will give new legs to even an old system.

I just upgraded my wife's rig which was an AMD FX940 with DDR2. It was still perfectly fast for most tasks because it has an SSD.

yes, I'd upgraded to SSD, but how does that translate to gfx performance???
