Have a concert dvd, i need to extract the audio for my listening preference. There are some freeware but have time limit as in you can extract maximum of X min of audio from the video each processing... But there are some tracks which are more than that time limit. So do u know of any freeware which can extract unlimited time of audio from the video?

Thanks!

use Adapter by macroplant.

thanks! this is easy to use. I have no problem in ripping audio from normal video files like rmvb files. However when ripping from dvd, the audio is like jerking all the way....

do you have any idea where went wrong??

Thanks in advance! :)

still cant work. Even the ripped video is jerky and the image quality very bad. Not sure if it is codec issue or my dvd problem. I have no problem in watching the dvd.

could it be the producers added in some information which cause the dvd unable to rip properly? But on other hand, i tried trial apps, it works perfectly fine. If none works, guess i have purchase the app...it cost $19.

Other videos are fine actually...

Use DVDFab Decryptor(free version) to rip the dvd to your hard disk. After that drag and drop the .VOB files onto Audacity. You can extract the audio to mp3 format.

I copied one VOB file (opening song abt 8-10 mins) from dvd to my HDD...so can i drop this vob files from dvd directly to audacity?
Must I go through the step to rip the dvd out?

If you are able to copy the .VOB files directly to your hard disk then your DVD disc has no protection. No need to use DVDFab Decryptor to rip to your hard disk. Just drag and drop the .VOB file to Audacity and high the audio segment the you want and go file>export selection.

can you .vob file play properly in VLC?

if still have the zzzz sound in vlc then you have to decrypt and extract again

if vlc no weird sound then your should be your encoding settings. to check, use uncompressed codec like wave to check.

yes VLC can't play the VOB file well too...
i found a trial app which allow me to rip max of 5 mins audio...
Not bad...only downside is the volume is abit soft and the quality is only average.

that was using the Apple DVD player app....
Looks like it is the only app which can play the dvd well...

the rest all cannot play...not even VLC

But for other videos in RVMB format, VLC is good cuz i using it to watch dramas. I did not use other app to play....
