[Software Update] 10.0.2 Discussions

Erratic pixels is present for me upon some gestures:

1.) Pixels flash random colors (grey, green and blu hue) before going all dark when attempting a soft reset with sleep/wake and volume down buttons.

2.) 3D touch to toggle between apps (similar to double press home button) produces white borders on top and right side of the display.

Do you guys have these issues?

First one don't have. Second one initially have but after awhile no more

I tried tapping on first WhatsApp notification banner, it opened WhatsApp. WeChat message came in, I tap on it, it also opened WeChat.

Means yours is fine. Some ppl have it, some don't. My brother's phone is fine. That is why I know it's a bug and not 'new feature' of ios 10 when I updated to iOS 10.0.1

What carrier u using? Mine is M1 and recently there's a carrier setting update. It just pop up and I updated it.

For iphone 7, reset is power button + volume down button. Press and hold both until u see Apple logo, then u let go.

Is this a soft or hard reset? How many kinds of reset are there? Lol

1) reset phone thru settings (hard reset?)
2) hold both home and power button (soft reset?)
3) hold power until off window den hold home (ram reset?)

Occasionally I also do get the bug where tapping on the first notification in Notification Center doesn't open the respective app. Second or third notification works though.

You might want to try 10.1 beta.

I am using SingTel, apparently there's also an carrier update when I plug into iTunes but it does not help at all, sigh

I'm with M1 ip6+ 128GB, issues with hang when text in Whatsapp or Telegram. 10.01 was worse even need to restart) but 10.02 still hang in whatsapp

The reachability not solve but I dun have problem with notification tap

ota updates or via itunes... i went with the itunes updates. it was a 2gb update if done via itunes.

When you reset straight goes to black? Mine sometimes show rainbow and different hue of colors. Someone said it's an OS issue but I don't know if I should bring to QCD or not.

The lighting EarPods problem still the same lol!!!

Plug in after few min will automatically disable to use!!!


My iphone 7 can't connect to iTunes on PC also!! Win 10

ya whole package instead of delta updates....

thats what i did also when 1st unboxed the ip7, whole package update to 10.0.1

I dunno if anyone realise this. The batt drain could be due to the phone constantly scanning the photos. Till now, I have random additional photos waiting to be confirmed whether it's that person. And these photos are not newly taken, it's old photos that should have been scanned.

whats the pros and cons on updating using OTA and on iTunes?

Using iTunes effectively is downloading the whole ipsw (firmware file) into the phone, using ota is only updating the newer files over existing ones hence the file size difference. Have no issues with both though...

anyone experiencing random reboots? not a full reboot but suddenly the screen will go black with the spinning logo then password screen appear. has been happening since iOS 10 update and not fixed after 10.0.2

yes same since iOS10 update, sometimes when using an app (e.g. facebook) and i click on an article then that black screen with spinning logo before presenting me with the lock screen page.

I'm using ip 6+
