Every year same thing, I don't get to test out the new version of iOS.

2 reasons,

1st don't have developers account
2nd I don't really want to update on my current devices (my current iPhones will remain their iOS version respectively, iPhone 5s iOS 7, iPhone 6 iOS 8, iPhone 6s iOS 9)

new version of iOS means getting of iPhone 7, 7 Plus, new iPads.

Anyone on it right now? It's possible to get it without Developers account :)

Managed to install iOS 10 on my iPhone 6s. So far not much of major issues, only some issues and 'small' bugs here and there.

Pressing and hold the home + power button is at some cases have to carried out during which the UI hangs there.

Widgets in the notification centre can become a little frustrating as the size of the widgets are not updated for the respective apps to show the contents fully.

Also, they have been relocated to a dedicated 'place' (swiping right [on the left side] on the home screen), no more in the notification centre.

The feature I love the most is when I pick up the phone and the screen lights itself up :s13:

A few questions for the bros on iOS 10 beta:

- How do you unlock your phone now? Considering that the left pane is now the widget menu and right is the camera.

- The keynote focused a lot on 3D Touch expansion. How much will this affect devices without 3D Touch? Say on an iPhone 6. Is it a significant loss in utility, or are there workarounds?

- How is the new Apple Music? Seems like there are still some design flaws here and there.

Press the home button key straight.. The "swipe to the right " feature no more

New iMessage, totally never even touch it since I got my iPhone 6s at launch day except to receive app/bank OTP etc, and usually messages is all via WhatsApp. For me the iMessage app itself is useless.

iOS 10 only beta 1, so what we see now may changes (even add new features) as the beta get along over time until the official release along with the new iPhone in September, so expect to have some issue and bugs along the way. :)

https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/redemption

this one can install beta 1 right?

how is it like? does the apps support ios 10?

The link is to the public beta which would be only be available in July.

Currently, it is only for and via the Developers Beta.

From the developer's beta, you would need to download a profile to your iOS device and from there updating to iOS 10 on the device via OTA. (A more advisable way, as via iTunes would have an Error 14)

1. As you lift up your phone, the screen is lighted up to see your lockscreen. To unlock, either press the home button + Touch ID or place your finger at the Touch ID + home button and it unlocks.

2. For the rich notifications for non 3D Touch devices, Apple says that they would support them in future betas.

"Support for rich notifications is optimized for 3D Touch, and in iOS 10 beta 1 the feature is available only on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Future betas will provide access to this functionality for users of iPhone models without support for 3D Touch."

3. The new UI for Apple Music seems great! The new redesign, more spaces are used to show content. But most of the text fonts for it is mostly bold.

tec_geek,

Would you please confirm that your standby and usage time for iOS 10 tallies (shouldn't be the case here), or do they differ?

As for me, standby and usage time is both at 2 hours even with device in sleep mode I believe.

Have done necessary steps such as resetting all settings and soft reset.

I've been doing a hard reset (pressing and hold the power + home button) and my standby and usage times has been a 'NULL'.

Would test out and monitor more during these few days and see if both differs.
