If I’m on beta 11.1 and if I switch to 8+, will my backup even work on the phone?

If the 8 Plus is already on 11.1, then there is nothing much you need to do, otherwise, you need to first setup the phone, upgrade to 11.1, reset and restore from backup.

With the positive feedback on the iOS 11.1 betas, seems like it's time to finally hop onto iOS 11!
