Honestly I don't really bother about this issue. You buy a phone is to use, and not to worry about rate of battery wear.

All rechargeable batteries will eventually wear down over time of usage, it's a natural thing.

Agree. Spent the money so just use it.
Most people will recontract and change phone within a year or two anyways.

So far I use all my iPhones for an average of 3 years. Don’t believe in chasing after every new iDevice that comes out..

Yeah, no matter how expensive the phone is, still have to use. People buy BMW, Mercedes, Lamborghini, Ferrari, etc, also use them as per normal mah. You don't see them worry about how much scratches on the wheels or body as small objects are being thrown out or how much dusts accumulates on them or how much the tyres have worn.

So just use it as per normal even if it's a iPhone X. Wear and tear are normal even if you use it extremely carefully or have OCD.

I usually also upgrade once every 24 mths until contract expires. Don't have to use the latest and greatest unless you have a lot of money to throw. I still use my mid 2015 MBP and I also still see many people out there using iPhone 6/6s Plus and even some using 5 series.

Even more so when the touch id is no more. Still somehow like the touch id than the face id. Well to each his own. Eventually LLST have to change to face id.

Like the bro said, it all depends.
I have a iph X since this Jan 2018 till now. Mostly will leave it to cable charge (2A output charger) overnight when go to bed. Most of the time it may be around 20~40% when I put it to charge.
While driving, I will put to cable or wireless charging if I need to turn on Navigation app or hotspot my data.

So far till date, I noticed it will still show 100% at morning time.

From my years of using different version of iPh, I noticed that usually if the phone is within 2 years, likely don’t have much issue with battery life drops suddenly. Thus for those that usually re-contract and getting new iPh after 2 years, I think really not much need to worry about the battery life. Likely you may nbot even notice some issues by the time you change to a new one.

It will still drop or increase each day. Software level will allow voltage fluctuation with fixed percentage gauge.

Lithium battery will have minimal voltage fluctuation but if it does, software will mistaken it..

So by 1 point difference it's considered normal..

I've no issues with mine too, some more I'm using a primitive 300Mbps wifi speed.

Just updated my IP6s from 9.3.3 to 11.4 yesterday after doing some speed comparison at apple store, and here's my feedback.


PROs:
most of the apps runs a little bit faster or if not equal speed, UI feels smoother and a little faster.

CONs: Notes load a bit slower. Webpage loads significantly slower on Safari. Battery drain fast (which I have to disable some functions to get it back to the original drainage rate). Disable Bluetooth or WiFi is temporary in control centre that irritates me.

The battery drain (I hope) is temporarily for the next 24-48 hours due to iOS having to do their own indexing.

The indexing is like putting the system items in place and is running consistently in the background. Thus, the battery drain.
