updated. hehe. plugged APP3 with USBC cable directly to the iMAC. after awhile realized that update has been completed lol
have updated APP2 also. connected to charger and next to iPhone lol.

Plug in USB C charger and place near your iPhone. Initially, mine also Airpods updated but not the case. So, I plug in the charger, take out the airpods to play 1 mins music and put it back in the case. Then after 5 mins I check, the case was updated.

plugged to iMac with iPhone nearby, 20 or so minutes, i check, it's updated already lol.
smooth process.

i tested can also update on wireless charger, no need plug in usb cable power, just leave it on the qi charger.

30mins later check both bud and case updated.

thanks for the info.
APP3 plugged into iMAC, phone nearby, connect once, put back into case, checked after 20mins or so, all good and updated both Airpods + Case lol.
