Is it just me or is 7.1 BLAZING fast

Same just that they increase the animations speed, 7.0 with jailbreak tweak could do the same thing

updated IOS 7.1 to my 5S and ipad 2
i noticed on my 5S, the batt is better and slightly faster

For ipad, i noticed that the speed is noticeably faster and more responsive.

This is really weird. I installed iOS 7.1. Before that my memory available was 7.6GB. Now it's 6.3GB. I didn't install or change any stuff.

Other than that, 7.1 is awesome.

It's more stable.
Your app doesn't force close as much.
You're trading stability over third party tweaks.
I chose stability of my apps.

I mean I try reregister the my finger but the sensor just don't work anymore.
Even hard reset also no use.... Back luck

No la, it's just the transition which apple made it slower as default in the previous version.
If u used the tweak which is called hidden settings u would know

Slightly smoother and faster, Touch ID still good, battery life improves slightly.

Did a restore instead of update, then restore from backup. Everything looks fine.

Yes, I'm aware of the settings.
But the overall stability of the Apps like Safari crashing out etc is something that can't be fix via Jailbreak.

My wife iphone 5s 16gb has 1.7 GB space left.. It cannot upgrade until it has 2.5GB of space available..

yes so I cleared until 2.5gb free
after update I'm seeing 2.4gb free

Once upon a time, iOS firmware (2.0, for example, if you have been using an iphone) is only 200MB+ in size. iOS 7 now weighs in at well over 1.2GB (1.4 - 1.5GB for iPad). It will only gets bigger..

Storage space twice as big as the app to be installed is required during in-device app installation for processing reason. Firmware installation is somewhat similar. Eventual storage space taken will be less, though.

If the upgrade is done via ITunes, it will not need to meet the requirement of 2.5GB free space. 2.5GB free only applicable for OTA.

Sian... after the update, my iPhone started to time travel. :/

Damn irritating.
The clock now not dependable le. Keeps switching timings. I tried manually setting it. The only solution is to keep updating the timing... which is a non-solution lor. Anyone else have the same issue?

What's weird is this space deduction only happened AFTER installing 7.1. On iOS 7.0.6 I had 7.4GB memory space.

Some people are apparently having Touch ID issues. However I find Touch ID working much better than before, in fact way better (to the extent when I want to switch songs via lockscreen I can't because the phone unlocks)

I agree in the stability part, cos i was replying to the poster referring to the overall speed of the the phone and not stability. Safari really is stable, have to try a few more days to see how it is though
