this time I will definitely do e update using iTunes. I had wifi problems in iOS 8.0 then used OTA to update to 8.0.2. strongly suspect it was e patchy wifi that caused my phone to conk out maybe during e download of e firmware of 8.0.2. caution caution.

Nope.. No difference. At first I update toll OTA. Got WiFi problem. So decided to restore phone as new in iTunes. Still the same. I never backup or what. Just set it up as new.

Just fix the damn bugs. No point introducing more fancy stuff when the existing problems are not 100% resolved.

what I meant was I already had e wifi issues in 8. going OTA to 8.0.2 caused my phone to reboot while verifying update n I had to do a restore. e wifi issues in 8 must have screwed up my 8.0.2 OTA download. so this time I'm going iTunes so that e screwy wifi in 8.0.2 has no chance of repeating e same screw up again.
