Korean "system/hunter awakening" or isekai/regression manhwa is often like that one.. very very few exceptions to the case, which are often the standouts. Strong recommendations for ORV/Return of Mt Hua Sect/Solo Max Level Newbie/Greatest Estate Developer, probably still have a few more but these are off the top of my head

Otherwise the genre is filled with stuff like OP MC, and irrelevant, forgettable side characters, and is just a lame power fantasy. I think the massive popularity of Solo Leveling only made it worse, when everybody tried to copy it. And there are still a ton of web novels that are very similar in premise that have yet to be adapted, it's really low effort copy paste. In fact, SL itself is a copy paste, but with higher effort of course, before everyone else decided to hop on the bandwagon. SL just happened to be picked up by a good manhwa studio, which really launched the popularity of the genre, and inspired many other studios to adapt other webnovels with similar premise

Most of the good webtoons are like that. Maybe you more towards Naruto, bleach, dbz type.

I read The Gamer halfway, also same genre but the storyline much better imo. I dont mind if the MC is OP but not to the point where everyone else becomes totally incompetent, One Punch man does this quite well.

It's like john wick... you watch it for the flair, the style and the fight scenes... It's not there to win an oscar

I also find this anime one-dimensional, too blunt and boring. The fighting also not say very interesting. Lore and story very generic too. Is basically like one of those generic anime like those isekais i keep seeing churned out now. I dont like too cheesy romance also but i hoping to see at least the main char show the slightest bit of acknowledgement for the girl lol.

you got find korean formula a bit too emphasized of "being cool"...
from kpop, drama to their manhwa.....
that "gotta be cool even if need to fake it" vibe sometimes is jus too overbearing
