Some newbie questions on MBP

Hi guys looking to purchase a used MBP, seen many entry level units in the marketplace but just wondering if i could increase the ram and also use SSD on them? If possible who should i look for? Thanks!

FYI, you can customise RAM and HDD/SSD on a MacBook Pro.
and SSD only on RETINA MacBook Pro.

So make sure you buy carefully.

Sorry for the newbie questions. Thanks all for the advice! If i have already bought the i7 2.9ghz mbp 13" non retina but only 8gb ram. Can i upgrade to 16gb ram??

clicked on memory
if its show 1 mpty slot..u can xtend
if its show 2 slot X 4g..
