Hey everyone!
I've some questions regarding NTU Hall, and I figured its better to ask here than NTU page since there are more active members here.
I actually live at west side and its quite a comfortable distance to travel to NTU. However, I have a scholarship which will pay for hostel, so I'm actually thinking if I should rent a hostel or not since year 1 undergrads are guaranteed a room.
Just want to find out:
1) Even if we rent the hostel, is it okay if I don't stay there? I prefer going back to the comfort of my home, but I may want to rent the room so that I can stay there during busy period, or during days where I need to study/do assignment till late. But other days am I able to just leave it vacant?
2) During school holidays, will the room still be available? Or is the rental only during school term?
3) I know this isn't allowed in hostel guidelines, but I've heard of people actually "renting" their room out to seniors who wanted the hostel. Is it okay to do it under-table?
Thanks & appreciate all advise given!
