when my grandpa passed away, i sent him off on the behalf of my dad since he was the eldest child
After 9 years, i did the same thing when my grandma passed away
And after 20 years, my dad's turn to be sent off by me

Don't know what's the point
Just some thoughts

P/S, dad was an illegal immigrant and he couldn't travel back to see his mama & papa in JB for the last time

Make the most of what we have, I guess.

Laugh more, cry more, love more.

Our time will come one day.

Then we look back at what we have done with a a smile

he has his wife and some rabbits

Rabbits can send him off. They will die before ts. Wife will suffer when he's gone and no children. Dying without children is very... Let's hope ts start making babies.

Can just cremate without all the rituals if there is no one to send off ?
If you never leave any instructions behind, that's what will happen.

I dunno but maybe got org or ppl out there who'd volunteer to act as your posthumous representative to collect your body from the morgue, maybe do some last rites, send you off for cremation and collect your ashes to be scattered or something.

It's a way for the living to seek closure. That's all.

We're mortal. No matter if anyone's there to send us off, when it's time to go, we'll have to go. Whatever happens after to our body is not our daiji anymore. It is like used (or rather, borrowed) clothing being left behind.

Life is short. The daily drama I see around me are nowadays pointless and I just ignore whether it's gossip about me or whatever nonsense. Learnt that life is really short and that there is no need to be bothered by such meaningless drama
