Hi,

I have been eyeing for a sony mirrorless camera for quite awhile.

Recently saw that the price for the A6500 has dropped to $1,399. So was wondering if it would be a good time to grab it and whether it's worth the buy?

Do appreciate your suggestions and advice.

Thanks

you should get a6400 or a6600. they have better HDR.

Yea another friend of mine recently surfaced to me the 6400 being better then the 6500, with the exception of the IBIS.
So the thing I would like to know is does getting a lens with stabilization (OSS) offsets this gap for the 6400?

Thanks bro.. So u recommend getting it overseas via online? I saw the 6500 out of stock in quite a few places... Harvey Norman, courts.. Etc

Now also considering the 6400 :/
Thinking whether I should go for a second hand one instead via clubsnap or carousell

I bought my cam and my lenses from overseas. No issues.Absolute amateur here - each item < 1k SGD.
Wait for overseas sales - they drop prices a lot unlike fake sg sales.

OT : My macbook pro also bought from above website but with a freight forwarder.

Any issues claiming the warranty locally if the product fails?

lens oss is just for shake when you take photos, not for walking and video recording.

IBIS + oss is decent for video

Imagine you sell a laptop in carousell. Would you help someone if they come to you with a problematic laptop they bought from someone else? Will you help to repair or replace for free?
