For those who owned the 4k Sony tv. If u want to enable 4k upscale thru the tv. Choose cinema home and cinema pro setting. Else choose custom setting to upscale thru your bluray player.

I tried using the x8500c custom setting thru Rting and feel that the default cinema home/ pro setting is what i prefer during watching bluray movie. Currently still mingled around the brightness setting. I prefer to be a lower setting. I

According to Sony website warranty conditions, accessories are not covered. External power supply (for those smaller sets) are not excluded from the exclusion.

Your one flick a free gift? Don't think there is a chance for free replacement.

Anyway, the exclusion of accessories, is in contravention of Sg lemon law. As I understand it. All product sold (excluding perishable goods), that includes remote control, should have a minimum period of 6 months coverage.

Below is an extract from Consumer Guides FAQ:

Under the Lemon Law, if a defect is detected within 6 months, it is presumed that the defect existed at the time of sale or delivery and the lemon law provisions apply, unless the seller can prove otherwise, or if such a presumption is incompatible with the nature of the goods (for example, perishables and food are not expected to last beyond their normal shelf lives.)

It could be caused by uneven mounting pressure from a poorly installed wall mount. If there is no wall mount then it could be caused by uneven pressure from the internal mounting frame and internal heating. Another possibility is that cold liquid got splashed onto the tv.

I recalled long time ago, my father's rear car windscreen cracked with a big bang under the hot sun while parked in the car porch. I went out to check if it was the work of some naughty boys. But found no stone or other evidence of the windscreen being struck.

Its in TV cabinet mount where previous generation Sony TV mounted for 3 years and this TV mounted for 20-25days also no chance of cold liquid scenario.

I believe u should able to get it replaced if it is faulty. Even the sale guy from best denki told me I could exchange the 3d glasses if it is faulty.

If they don't replaced . Then rant it on their Sony Facebook. They will respond.

Anyone feels the Android TV Sonys are buggy?

Owned a 43X8300C for about 2 weeks now.
Sound disappearing for no reason, solved with a restart.
Sometimes it rang a monotonous tone in the midst of watching a show, solved with a restart
Updated to latest firmware, but still happens.
Kind of irritating.

Hi,

Just FYI I have the same model but did not have any of the problems you mentioned. You might want to check back with Sony asap.

Good luck.
