when did u pre-order it? i did it the next day after sony announced can pre-order.

Around 20th? I pre order the 32GB one leh, cannot be out of stock, as 32GB one not many ordering.
Probably some screw up from Courts side.

Yes. Plus you must use the Sony default apps or some other apps you can find in the Market (don't know which one though)

can i confirm that the only video format that can throw from tablet s to tv is mp4 ? tried doing that last nite and it works. anyone knows of any other video format that can do so?

Yes. MP4 because it is the supported format in Sony default apps. Other apps found in the Market (as mentioned above) might be able to support other formats

About 9GB usable in 16GB model & 24GB usable in 32GB model

Can't directly access the SD card. Need to use the "File Transfer" tool to copy onto tablet.
There are 2 partitions on the tablet.

SD Card is called /sdcard2/ in the tablet

btw any tablet s users managed to get the psn store app working? seems that whenever i tried to activate it was told my country does not support it.

No. Not activated locally. Don't know when too.

However, i accidentally manage to get in once in a US Store and saw games like Wild Arms & Medievil for sale

Well i received my 16 gb on the 26 oct but pre ordered 3 weeks before i think. There was a delay on shipment bcoz my preorder receipt states collect on 24 oct hahaa. Sony bugis store was nice to call me many times to inform me of the delay anyway. the tablet is beautiful

Well this tablet is different from others, i bought this bcoz of the following reasons:

1) PS certified
2) Universal remote
3) Ability to throw media to DLNA TVs etc (lack of HDMI is a let down)
4) Design is great, even though is plastic but built quality is good and is not heavy at all. Feels better than others in terms of ergonomics (i had a ipad but holding it longer makes my hand painful)

These few things are not found in other tablets imho.

By the way, the "bravia" screen is pretty good as well. I bought the dock (its not a hdmi dock but it goes pretty well with the tablet while charging) with the screen protector at $29. Thinking of the "wifi" speaker as well when it reaches SG.

At the sony store i saw the tablet bluetooth keyboard as well. Its slim but too long for my liking) - I prefer the logitech tablet keyboard for android.

By the way guys i am not trying to show off that i got the tablet earlier but just to share info to those that are considering to buy etc.....

these are also my reasons of thinking to get one. but shall wait for sitex see any offer.

they muz b apple user...looking at android n unfamilar design. had it and its not bad. love the design best ...gd grip. 9.4 makes it lighter n gd to hold with 1 hand

Collected mine today from Wisma Isetan.

The salesgirl initially gave me a golden case, and told me that I can wait till 15th Nov if I don't like the color. After verifying with another salesperson, she exchange it for a black one. Overheard that 15th Nov is the date when Sony will start selling the free case.

Now charging my set. A very long 8hr to go...

I got to say the screen protector they give, if you preorder is really high in quality. Its matt, but almost clear like those glossy ones.

Been playing it the whole day and this is what i feel:

1) feels light and handy, the "folded mag" design really works.
2) the remote control function is fun.
3) feels speedy, no (uncomfortable) lag while surfing net
4) screen is not as fantastic as i expect, but watching 720p movie trailers i downloaded from youtube was very good
5) still on screen, its not as bright as what i wanted, i switched to ~1/2 of max and it feels dark already. No choice, save more battery.
6) i wish there are more widgets from the start, since i am using htc phone and got used to the wide range of widgets.
7) haven't try using SDcard. I got a OTG usb cable which enables the tablet to detect thumbdrive and QQ player can play straight from the thumbdrive without xferring.
8) music and video volume is loud and clear.
9) the tablet on the cradle is very nice, almost like a digital phone album or desk clock.
