Guys, do you guys prioritize Size over Quality? Or the other way round..? I’m just skeptical if spending above $3k for 65” & nowadays TV like does not last that long (more than 7-8yrs). Hmmmmm…

For me, Size > Quality ... so long as quality difference isn't too great between TVs.

For example, for $6+K, I'd rather get the 85" Bravia 7 over their 65" A95L over at Sony store.

Do compare before you commit at such a roadshow
The final price a salesman offers at HN or BD is often much lower than the advertised prices

Yes , the BD price was way less than that on the Sony Website when I bought the Bravia 7 recently

Hi Hi, may I know how bad is Bravia 7 reflection? My tv will be next to living room full length windows.

Most reviews wrote that reflection and viewing angle is bad.

Will really appreciate your actual usage feedback.

thanks in advance.

Rtings Bravia 7 reflection rating - 7.1
Rtings X90L reflection rating - 7.2

IMO, my X90L's reflection is pretty bad. Diffused light from outside my window onto the white wall behind me, will get a good bright patch reflected on my TV screen. That's diffused light. Direct light, be in on wall behind me or onto screen, can forget about watching anything on screen. Thus, I always pull the blinds over my side windows to keep room in a pretty dim state during daytime. Bet your Bravia 7 will be worse.

Good Morning!

Thanks! Seems like is something I need to bear and manage with.

Other TV with low reflections, either too expensive or look very dull.

sigh.

Hi, currently using Bravia 7 with windows at the side. Was initially worried about reflection and viewing angle but still decided to go for it.

Reflection problem is not really that serious, still able to watch with some afternoon sun shining in.

For viewing angle, As long as you sit on sofa facing TV directly - image is still quite vibrant.

No regrets as u get most of Bravia 9 performance at a cheaper price.

Thanks Algerr! Thanks for the feedback. That is reassuring. Should be ordering end of this month.

I too have large living room windows to the left of the TV.
I can see a dull window reflection in a small corner of the TV in the daytime . ( this reflection I guess would be different for each person )

However , it doesn't bother me . The TV is plenty bright even in Professional mode with the brightness turned down to 15.
I have blackout blinds but dont feel the need to pull them down for the usual Youtube ..etc.
Movies and streaming stuff I watch at night and it's just great.

As for viewing angles , I have a L shaped 3 + 1 seater . obviously it is great from right in front but various members of my family occasionally sit quite a bit off centre and no one has complained.
I really don't get the wild hate on the off centre image - its practically the only negative that online reviewers come up with. Its acceptable to me.I'm not going to stand like a f**l at an angle and watch anyway :ROFLMAO:

Cant be happier.

Yup. You are right about the angle. Does not bother me much. As I don’t host movie parties.
So my family is more or less near the center.

just concern about reflection.
Thanks! I am 100% all in now. Haha.

It's just extra 27 cents per day over the next 5 years. Is better visuals worth 27 cents/day? Only you will know. lol

Great to see the Bravia 7 dropping back down to $2499 after 2 months. If it's $2499 now, there's a possibility it will drop again during the announced Sony TV Sale that's happening in a few weeks time.

If you're not already aware:
X90L 65" has 88 Local Dimming Zones
Bravia 7 65" has 480 Local Dimming Zones

That's the closest u can get to Bravia 9.

Don't regret, start enjoying it.
