Been googling around for good gaming TVs to play ps4 and came out with this model.
Sony KDL-55W905A heard good reviews on it but can't seem to find it on Sony SG website. Is it discontinued? If so, any other Sony TVs match its lag time of 10ms?

Thanks in advance.
I thought we only had W904 and W954 in local market...

W904A, currently selling in Singapore, is made to the country specific requirement of Singapore DVB-T2 receiver standard, with the logo

I believe you have noticed that reviews for W905A come from uk. Even though UK is using DVB-T2, there are differences in tuner details which are not shown in product brochures.

Using another example to illustrate my point...In the old CRT tv era, for the same philips tv model, those made for Singapopre is different from those made for Australia and New Zealand. This was because the earth magnetic field in Singapore was different from that in the southern hemisphere. Only insiders knew.

I have not answer your questions completely, but you may want to check out W904A?

Sony bravia TV is having promotion w/o GST. The price u see is after GST, so you take the cost price X 0.93 = pay price.

I own a 55" W904A. Fantastic TV, excellent display quality, very very few light leaks, image clouding, etc (unlike a certain popular korean brand).

Courts short change when i ask for the model ytd at megastore. He offer $2239 (abt there) after 7% gst absorded. Give 4pairs of glasses (should be 6 pairs) and a Xperia Tablet S 32GB 3G/Wifi (this included) and short of a one-touch remote (not sure is this the standard issue remote). Only 3 years warranty, delivery $20, free bracket and installation..

Where i can get lower price with all the sony freebies, delivery and installation. Not sure on the warranty of the 5yrs.

I asked about the 5 year warranty at Tai Sin electrical at Toa Payoh. They only offer 3years (agent one) if 5 years is buy "outside" additional.

So what is the Sony extended warranty about ? 3 or 5 years ?:s11:

Sony one is 3 years, I called Sony just now. I was told that you need to register online to have this 3 years warranty. For those with 5 years they are probably in-house warranty under the shop.

For Sony Centre, their warranty is 5 years direct.

For authorized dealers, their warranty is kept to 3 years, while for courts, HN, BD, you may have the $$$ option to extend warranty by another 2 years (in-house).

Hehe.. I found Courts Mega store offers cheaper price for W904. it's about 2979 after all the discounts, you need to pay 30 for delivery with free bracket and installation. All the Sony promotion freebies are still valid.

Wrong. The 5 years warranty is from Sony and it's only because we buy it from a sony centre.

I was contemplating between 55W904, 55W804 but in the end bot the 50W704. Hopefully in 3 years time (in line with Sony's warranty), I can buy a 4K at this same price ;). Suggest you check AH, cos their price are lower than HN and BD that I've checked. Got mine at $1390 (list price) - 7%. Saw 55W804 listed $2280 before 7% rebate. HN could not match AH when I ask em.
