is it in settings -> network and internet -> sims -> access point names -> 3 dot menu -> reset to default? still no volte icon. the one i got is an export variant xq-as42.

Got a 1 year old 5 II 2 weeks ago to replace my lightsabered 5III and the fcuking 5 II developed 3 lightsabers as well since last night. My luck is dogshit.

Sorry had to rant somewhere. Looks like I'm forced to go back to my 5I as a result.

You are not alone. It happened to my 5 II as well, bad display IMO compared to 1 II.

Just stay away from Sony and Samsung. If you die die want Sony, Xperia 1 series got no display issue. Other brands using Samsung display panel during 2020-2021 many have the same problem too. Who knows what will happen 2-3 years and if the current series will get the same problem.

managed to fix volte by flashing to sog02 firmware, but an issue i faced both on the old and new firmware is that google pay is not fully working with sim inserted. able to add card to phone, and at most contactless terminals is able to pay without issue. however, for some reason when i try to tap into public transport it will complain that the phone moved too fast even though i literally hold it still against the terminal (similar behaviour to when the phone has no internet access). even more bizarre is that this only happens with the sim inserted, if i hotspot to it without the sim it is able to tap me in without issue. has anyone encountered a similar problem?
