By the way, in last year's Xperia III series, Xperia 1 III, 5 III, 10 III were announced at the same time in April.
However, even in the same series, the Xperia 10 III was released the earliest in June, so in that sense there may not be a big difference between this year and last year.

Also, regarding the flagship, I think that it will almost certainly be the successor to the Xperia 1 III, but this information does not mention when the flagship was announced.
It is possible that the announcement will be announced at the same time as last year.

Regarding the release time of Xperia 1 IV, rumors have been found that it will be released on Weibo in the middle of summer the other day.

A guy from a supplier told me that a new mid-range Xperia will be announced soon, and will be released in Spring. Flagship won't be released till early summer.
Take it with a pinch of salt, but his past information was accurate.

Sauce : Esato.

Hope its using processor manufactured by TSMC ~ 😆

Summer release is very likely.

But to get hardware from TSMC is not a given due to timing and if sony looks to cost savings, since it is rumoured that TSMC will provide the upgraded version then it will likely be available near Q3 or end of the year.

From my understanding, it should be referring to "M series emitting materials" which is a reference to the type of OLED display. Compared to other type "E" series, M series is commonly used for flagship phones in terms of quality and power consumption. Latest M series are the M10 and M11 for latest sam phones, higher number is better type. Next fruit phone is rumoured to use M12 type of OLED display.

look like IP12/13 design language very blocky
Haha do you know that iPhone design concept was copied from Sony design concept?

https://www.theverge.com/2012/7/26/3189309/apple-sony-iphone-design-inspiration-iphone-4-looked-old
So Sony did nothing wrong using their own design concept.

Heres another one Apple "patented"

What's interesting for this xperia 1IV is the Sim tray now locates at the bottom instead of the side. Hope they design it to sit well and not fall out. Also wish for their new phone to:

1. Utilize very good sunlight legibility brightness maintain at current level is more than enough.
2. Processor manufacturer from TSMC instead from Samsung (so they will not throttle ,overheat , drain battery life, cause lag)
3. Better and more battery saving display technology (LTPO or even better?)
4. USB support NVMe protocol
5. Expand micro SD card transfer speed to at least 70mbps
6. All cameras to use their own company made sensors so even selfie camera quality does not degrade

Looks like... Same same.... but different o_O :ROFLMAO:
If processor is really made from TSMC and display is LTPO with super good sunlight legibility the difference will be huge. Then add real periscope optical zoom to the already rumoured 240mm ... Woah :LOL::LOL::love:

索尼似乎将停止使用三星相机传感器。 这不仅仅是关于旗舰机型的前置摄像头,而是整个阵容。
